It's a commendable 1st cat, but it's kinda turning out to be a dud. The single biggest issue is the length to beam ratio isn't the traditional "true catamaran" 2:1 which makes it look kinda awkward & top heavy and is only a little wider than a 50 foot monohull that doesn't have fold down bulwarks. If you're gonna make a cat, make a cat, not a "cat-ish". I get the logic about dock space, but c'mon. Oh, and who's idea was the backward facing bow seating area? The next baffling thing is that it's a B certification vs A certification boat which makes me 🤔 why it isn't. I think it's the only cat on the market over 40 feet that isn't A certification. The only other small gripe is the lack of a full size fridge. Don't get me wrong, the swim/dingy platform that can make the cockpit bigger is very cool. The master and athwartships cabins are great accommodations but the heads are a bit tight. My personal gripe is the backward raked windshield which makes the area behind it, hot; bug under a magnifying glass effect under direct sunlight. For the $ in the 50+ foot class, it's not terrible but it could've been a real "you can't build enough of 'em" boat and gobbled up a serious portion of the super popular 50+ foot monohull class. Let's hope Prestige takes note on the upcoming M7. A combination of this boats accommodations, freeboard, swim/dingy platform cockpit expansion element and a Leppard cats' trawler style (vertical windshield, etc) with maybe fold down bulwarks, would BE a "ya can't build enough of 'em" boat that would dominate the segment.
