Great plan for such a small house and the siding, trim and roof look amazing! Two thumbs up! I'm not a big fan of the music over the video but would have preferred someone describing the process of what we were looking at!
Question about how much did it cost just to get the outer shell put up {walls, doors, windows & roof}??? I would like to build or have built a 24X32 it will be a hunting camp and in about 15yrs. my retirement home... Thank you.
Bad music, but I'll let that slide since it seems to be a thing these days. Couple of points that I liked, 1. Layout of walls clearly marked on decking, 2. Noticed the used windows, 3. Overall look of the exterior (not my style, but it looks good on this house in this setting). Cheers.
This video should really be called "Slideshow of my family building a house." This isn't really a how to of anything. You don't show how to do anything nor do you explain why you chose to do things a certain way. THAT would make this a How to. Posting a slideshow of random angles and family photos while interesting isn't really a how to.
I like your attempt but some help from a real carpenter would have helped you do this framing correctly. Where are all the load bearing headers? I only see two. The kings and jacks are missing too. I'm not sure why you would build stairs when the roof is not done, a ladder would have been a better option until it's "dried in". Also, you never stack sheets like that. You need to stagger them by half if possible for strength in the walls and floor and roof. I muted the music.
If only there were some way of 'muting' the music. You know what I mean, like a switch or a button (anything really) that one could use to alter the volume of something.
music sucked, video sucked, if you're going to show it off don't show during build and then just outside, makes me wonder what are you hiding. it rains here often, if you're going to build put outside walls and roof up first, don't use a tarp anymore than you have to it won't hold up especially with a lot of rain and wind, trust me. otherwise, everything will get damaged by water, things will get warped, etc., worry about the inside after you do the outside or your asking for trouble. there's a reason when builders build the outside gets done first.
