Sidenote: Some of the piracy sites have FAR worse user interface and search tools than sites that are paid for... why? All that you need to do to kill piracy sites is sell your product with a decent price with a better interface. There will always be piracy but you can make sites like steam that are better than piracy hell just for the security.
There is also a lot of other major things to provide a better service being a community, good UX (Searching, watch list, recommendations, video player) and the library of media being the most important one. Overall, the industry is a mess with licensing issues being a big contributor. A segmentation of streaming services makes for a worse overall experience with the need to own multiple subscriptions across different providers where all your data is separated like watch list, etc not all in one place. And the problem of licensing hell for different seasons of shows, region locked content and censorship

I’ve never went to an anime pirate site, but again I don’t watch a huge amount of anime, only a few episodes per day, I’m a manga reader. But it’s not a big shock that a free site is getting more views than a paid site.
A website that anyone can visit and use for free having 20 million more visitors than a website that people need to pay to use is not as impressive as people are making it out to be...
No, this is laughable, of course a free anime site is going to have a lot more, especially since a lot of these people don’t want to pay for anything & think everything should be free.
The copium hits both Disney and Crunchyroll real hard. That’s what they get for playing the same annoying cringe/boring ads and charging people money that they’d rather spend on food, clothes, and taxes. 😂 And Crunchyroll should’ve stayed independent instead of become owned by Sony or Warner Bros. if they didn’t wanna be in the hot water they’re drowning in.
Oh wait, it doesn’t cover the app? Well then it’s meaningless, when I look at any of these sites it’s always through my phone, tablet or TV app, I never go through a browser.
One of the reasons i use sites like this is the fact i can comment on the episodes, i know i'm not the majority but i like reading what others thought about the episode and sharing my thoughts as well, something that can't be done on CR, also the player for those sites is usually better than CR (or they were, i don't know nowadays) and there are more shows there. Aside from that, yeah, i don't like CR and some things they do with the shows
Well you HAIL for piracy, then you won't complain about the working conditions of the animators, or why an anime has terrible animation. You do not have that right anymore
where can we support??? OH RIGHT CRUNCHYROLL THAT EMBEZZLES ALL THE FUNDS! FFS i have mor JP only BDs than English ones. The CR(SONY) monopoly needs to die.
You know it doesn't work like that, right? Even if we all pay for Crunchyroll, the animators aren't gonna see a dime of that money, Crunchyroll is keeping it for themselves. They literally committed a federal crime against someone in the industry, I don't think they care. And even if Crunchyroll against all odds pours it in the industry, the salaries or work environments are not gonna change. The bigwigs at studios like MAPPA are putting it all in their own pockets.
@@alpha-sama licencing cost money. Premium show licence cost 200 k usd per episode for license. The cost is so high that the crunchy are losing these shows to Netflix and other competitors.
The real surprise to me is that Disney+ gets anywhere near that viewership. That's concerning.
most of these metrics are fake/bots/screens being left on while children play anyways
Thanks for being someone in the anime space actually willing to drop some truth bombs!
