It’s cool to see the game like this again. I didn’t play the alpha but I remember my friend showed it to me and I got the game sometime around Beta 1.8. There were pistons and redstone and hunger but it wasn’t the full release yet. I was annoyed cuz I found out I’d ended up buying the game only a few weeks after the price changed from either free or like $5 in alpha lol. Idk if smooth lighting wasn’t in the game yet or if it was just my pc at the time but ik the lighting looked like this where you can clearly see every block being brighter or darker than the next. I think the coolest feature they ended up removing was the fog down at bedrock. It used to feel so cool to get all the way down there and have that effect as if it was sweltering hot or something
It's pretty crazy how different old Minecraft is from today's Minecraft. In these early versions like you mentioned the light from the torches isn't smooth, but oddly enough in the Nether it does look smooth, but only there.
Awesome video! Not sure how you ended up in my UA-cam algo, my best guess is that I listen to a lot of C418's music and "minecraft ambience" videos while studying. Editing was great and I think the video length was good; if this video was from a Twitch stream would you consider putting a link to the VOD in the description? I know alot of TTV streamers also have a separate channel that acts as a stream archive to increase views and ad revenue but I know this is alot of work. Rambling too much but awesome vid, definitely going to go through your twitch vods and listen, liked and subbed looking forward to your next videos 👍
Huge thanks, much appreciated! I actually stream on both Twitch and YT at the same time! All my old VODs are on my YT channel, and all my Minecraft content, including live streams, videos, clips, and shorts, are in one playlist on the channel!
thank you for this vid broski
You're welcome gamer 😎
i also love reading the wiki for patch notes and stuff
