So not only is that Hurley Wilvert’s bike, that is Hurley Wilvert himself! If he cant get jt running, no one can. R.I.P. thank you for keeping his memory alive.
Johnny Guit Me 2 but they handled like shit, but we’re way better than the H-1. I think we that owned these triples back in the 70’s wear rose colored glasses when it comes to these bikes, power wise they were monsters but evil handling beasts in the twisted. They were designed for stoplight racing.
A-right, my older brother had a '72 H2 and came home with cash in his pocket every weekend from beating Z1's. P.S. Humpty, top end ain't the issue when your street racing, usually doing unofficial 1/4 layouts, line to line or light to light. Most of the time racing was done on the service roads to highways or expressways , industrial complexes... Shit I used to kick ass on my '88 ZX10, against ZX11 and Honda XX blackbirds. Just because I had more/better experience launching it. Boy those guys, who just dropped big money, on the 'lastest' bikes would be pissed. I thought it was hilarious!
The cylinders are swapped from side to side so the motor would have more clearance with the chambers. The H2R that I owned in 1980 was another of Hurley's bikes build by Irv Kanemoto and had a "mag" rear wheel and plasma rotors.

I remember bike magazine featuring a
H2 in the 80s.
Called the green meenie.
Picture the above bike
With no fairing.
ON THE ROAD....
love em...
Great to see Hurley on the bike, warming it up. Gone too soon! RIP
So wicked cool! Pre traction control Raw unrefined and fast! Beautiful machine Thanks for your video
I had an H2 750 in 72 and I had the fastest thing in town...period!
Right on :) I had the 1974 green H2 :) loved her even tho I almost killed myself several times :(

Just as much about the bike and engine as the racing.. this thing is fire!
So beautiful!
Would like to build my own 750 H2R replica
AeroR wouldn’t it be a blast to put an H2 motor in say a 95’ 600 chassis?
Somehow that's still less smoky than my grandmother's two stroke Vespa...
Super Exzellent Kawasaki
Lovely ...!!! sounds so crisp.
Look at modern Moto gp bikes nowadays new 2019 Ducati for instance ugly as sin. And look at this baby it is beautiful.😍
I totally agree, there's nothing new that gets me excited, ended up building a bike.
Put Kim tab snow flake mags on it. That would knock off about 30 lbs. That's what is on mine. And I have 3 sets if them. Very rare mags.
Looks a hell of a lot better with the wire wheels! I'd bet they're even lighter, too - hey?
Have fun cleaning and adjusting them.
please tell me that there are some kind of air filters put on before the race ... !!!!!!! ...
Nice.
so good
Very nice!!!
so cool!
How did this bike do compare to 4 cyl race bikes!?
Love it
Both H2Rs that I saw had massive rear drum brakes - this one is different.
Bobby They
More racing of it would have been nice
What kind of hp would a race H2 powered bike put out. I believe a stock one was 84 hp.
The stock H2 750 official Hp was 74 hp and the 1975 KR750 made around 125 hp so this 1973 H2 R was probably around 100 - 110 hp
How does starting up race bikes like that work?
watch the video a few times you will figure it out, you see them start it.
The starter makes the rear wheel turn, the bike is put into gear, then the clutch is let out. The starter-machine is instead of push-starting it.
2サイクル、レーサーは、どのくらい現存するのだろうか、、、?
Traction control, anti-wheelie, PAH!
3:44 of f'ing off, 0:6 of track time WTH?
Sounds like a chain saw..
Not when it's on pipe.
Hurry someone remove that 4-fart from the beginning :D
H 2と言えばこれ!
That’s not a H2R motor, out side cylinders were shaved flat
