I felt for you very deeply when seeing the problem with that bunch of those radial capacitors which do not IMHO belong to tube amps at all, unless there is a PCB in it, which a godforsaken phenomenon and a way to connect components electrically to each other unfortunately started to rule sometimes in the 60's 👹😁.
I love Fender style dog houses and hate multiple section cap cans because as you very well know, whatcha gonna do when one cap of multiple section cap can fails...
However, sometimes there is no compatible right sized (both physically and electrically) multiple section cap can available at reasonable price, and you have to do something very unethical and use a radial PCB caps. But fortunately axial caps are still available and installing them instead of those radial caps which are meant only for PCBs is sometimes a little bit better option than those radial electrolytic caps.
I just recently noticed you channel and subscribed it immediately because I noticed that I very much enjoy your calm and relaxed way (Zen and the art of tube amp maintenance😁) to express what you have to say, and noticed your deep experience of classic audio devices because I myself have built and serviced tube amps and radios for more than 30 years as a hobby and I immediately saw that you very much know what you are talking about which is not always the case nowadays.
    Keep on good work! 👍

      @@FeeserAmplification Thanks!
But some smart a** once said that if you have a really bad taste, the world, as we know it today, has much more to offer to you. 😁

Sherwoods naming scheme doesn't make a lot of sense, I have an S-7910 and it sure wasn't made in the 50's. lol
