Im honestly surprised most of the gta community doesn't know about this trick, I've literally been using it for like a year after hold to sprint was introduced
I've never seen anyone explain this, but this only works for me on PC if I use the mouse to switch to the pistol while the weapon wheel is visible. Then I just spam tab normally and it works. Also, when I turn, it usually disables the glitch and I have to use the mouse trick again.

speedrunners r sth else, thats where lots of these tricks r coming from. he then puts it online so it can be patched - nicely done!

When I switch to unarmed and armed the tab interaction menu appears, is there a way to remove that?

You're holding it, not tapping it.
