Pirate Battle ,Gusarska bitka Omiš 2015 (www.uzmisve.com)

Rekonstrukcija bitke prikazuje borbu Mlečana na čelu sa zapovjednikom flote Akoncijem s omiškim gusarima koje predvodi vladar Malduk. Nakon teške borbe omiški gusari pobjeđuju i zapovijedaju Mlečanima plaćanje naknade u zlatnicima za prolaz Bračkim kanalom, jer je to područje pod vlašću Omišana Mare nostrum - Hrvatsko more. Sa stotinjak naoružanih sudionika na nekoliko gusarskih i mletačkih galija te na sagittama, odnosno brzim omiškim gusarskim brodovima odvija se cjelokupna bitka.
Na ovaj način se grad Omiš temeljem povijesnih činjenica turistički pozicionira kao grad gusara :-)
Reconstruction of the battle shows the struggle of the Venetians led by the commander of the fleet Akoncijem with the pirates - led by the ruler Malduk. After heavy fighting the Omis pirates win and command Venetians payment of a fee in gold coins to pass Brač channel, because the area under the power of towns people Mare Nostrum - Croatian sea. With hundreds of armed actors on several pirate and Venetian galleys and the Sagitta carried the entire battle.
In this way the city Omiš based on historical facts is positioning itself as a city of pirates :-)
