  • Square baling with an International 784, Class Markant 50 baler and a Perry bale collector. the complete outfit has been on the same fram since new.
    Taking in a 20ft row so had to take it slow.
    Used my handy camera clamp to good effect, Let me know what do you think?

    Those are some serious looking windrows you're baling but it looks like the old baler handled them well especially since you were taking it intelligently slow- great camera work by the way.

    Your Perry Bale Collector looks a lot like our Farmhand sled we used 30 years ago...we still have it but havent used it for over 30 years, we run the wagon right behind the baler.

    That tractor will last for as long as I'm around, it may look bad but its mechanically perfect, like most irish tractors! taking the bales off the field with a big flat trailer and loads of man power

  • @MrFoxman360
    @MrFoxman360  13 років тому

    @desjack1 yea, they were a bit on the big side, but it wasnt a problem when we were taking it handy and it cleaned the field well too

    the loader is ver light and seems as we were travelling at such a slow speed it wasnt an issue, anyway having it down hinders vision and manoverability

    Hello first of all, thank you very much for the video.
    Then I wanted to ask if you can tell me something about the hay sled. How wide, long, high is the sledge and how many hay bales go in. Thanks for your work Regards Manuel

    My god what a lovely bale collector at the back! What can you tell me about it? Is it difficult to make one?

  • @Aoifemfitzgerald
    @Aoifemfitzgerald 11 років тому

    Well. We used have a markant too with that exact bale collector.
    They are a painfully slow machine but make a very good, regular bale.
    The NH-530 replaced it and is very fast but throws out bales of all shapes and sizes.
    In the vid, your leaving half the hay on the ground - I'd say you didn't have your haybob set up properly.

    Bluebell sisal baler twine, That takes me back! My father always maintained that it was a better product than Red Star twine We also used the polypropylene hay twine that came from that factory (Gold medal?) That was designed to be kinder to the hands and because it was slightly thicker than standard no.2 plastic twine, it would work with older balers but as one local wag pointed out "Only The Irish could produce a plastic baler twine that was the same colour as straw!"

  • @MrFoxman360

    for the tiny bit of extra weight the loader puts on the front axle I don't think it will be a problem, a set of front weights that International recommended would be heavier. Regular grease and it will be fine for years to come

    hi
    ive a claas markant and I don't know what model it is .there is nothing on the steel name plate only markant, whats the difference in a 50 and 60.

    • @bencarter2334
      @bencarter2334 Рік тому

      60 has a wider pick up. There's a 45 as well same size as a 50 but the 50 has more room for string. 4 balls and 6 I think. Great balers.

    keep that loader down, up in the air makes the tractor unstable if you hit a ground hog hole
