We need to tighten up the defence, luckily we are still 2nd, just one of those games, the winning run was going to end sometime, better now than at the end of the season, still lots to play for
Leeds fan here , what a game that was , thank you Derby ,defences seem to be the issue for the leading group in our division, we Leeds dont have one at the moment either , its gonna be a roller coaster ride , only God knows who is going up , best of luck every one ...
You do understand Norwich defence was looking solid untill the injuries started , our back four keeps changing every week. Our full backs maybe getting a bit to confident going forward as well.
Neutral here. Well done both teams for serving up a feast and a great advert for the Championship. What Norwich lack in finesse they more than make up for in grit and determination, but were 'Norwiched' here as they normally do the comebacks. Derby are quality and could never be ruled out. They will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season.
Letocetum sulley Several times we got the ball, a Derby player fell over to little or no contact and a free kick was given. Our player Cantwell was tackled to the ground, the ref was looking right at it and ignored it. When we were fouled, it was either ignored or if we did appeal the ref ignored us or it was given the other way. When Derby were fouled or fell over, the ref either gave a free kick or if Derby appealed, he checked with the other officials. Refs are meant to be neutral but this one wasn’t.
Defence is a shambles but our attack is insane🤷🏼♂️

Our defence is letting us down we should be well clear at the top now. Then remember we're our friends down the road are so it could be worse. I think you can forget promotion it's slowly slipping away. But live in hope.
I am one of the most negative fans you will meet when things are down (I thought we were going to get relegated at the start of the season) but the hate after this game I just do not understand. Brilliant attacking play for our three goals. Both Derby's first two goals arguably are just complete luck, you can't blame our players for not clearing the ball when they have 0.004 seconds to react after it bounces to them. But yes it was shit defending for goals 3 and 4. But honestly if those floodlights had not gone out or the steward had the common sense to play on because brightness levels had only dropped to 99.9964%, we almost definitely would have won, Derby had nothing on us that second half before that incident. Everyone needs to calm down. One loss against a team who will probably finish top 6 this season after 12 or however many unbeaten doesn't mean shit. We will get promoted. OTBC
Need a bit more balance if we are to stay in the position we are in, excellent attacking displays recently, but some of that defending was piss poor, looked like Sunday league 😂
You're probably correct - but it seems a bit pathetic. Visibility was perfectly good. From top of the Barclay we didn't even realise what the problem was. In my days of Sunday league if you could see both goals from the centre then it was good to go.@@geoffpoole9107
Hello mate, it was a guess on my part. It might be to prevent disputes between opposing managers if the ref wants to abandon the match. When the teams went off it would have been in Derby's interest for the match to be abandoned because they'd have a second chance to get at least a point.
Gifted 3? At least ours came from direct strikes. Derby's were tap ins from deflections/scrambles. Even the one that went in off underside of bar was fluky. Derby were bang average and have been all season but hey how at least with Frank there you can achieve great success... As a Chelsea feeder club hahaha
At 2-2, Marriot could easily of gone down but didn't, that could of had the Norwich player sent off for a 2nd yellow. Derby's defence was/is bloody awful, I've never rated Keogh, never will. Derby made some catastrophic errors all over the pitch and conceded just 3 goals. I find it quite comical but stupid too that with 3 decent floodlights, Carrow Rd was probably better lit than most championship stadiums running 4 lights, but at 3-2, the game was destined to be called off. Any longer at the ref would of/should referred it to the FA who would of ordered a replay. Norwich and Derby were kept waiting longer and further into the game than the famous 1997 tie for Derby's first home match at Pride park against Wimbledon where we led them 2-1. The replay 2 months later saw Wimbledon draw 1-1 with us. With 9 minutes of play + stoppage time ( dunno where the ref found 10 mins of stoppage time ), from that whistle restart, Norwich did everything in the book to delay/drag feet and timewaste. Yet Derby were one of only 2 teams that wanted to play till the final whistle. Hence a scrambled Jozefzoon equaliser and a dreadful Norwich defensive error that saw Marriot dink his winner over Norwich's keeper. Norwich did well against Forest, one of the comebacks of the season i'd say, but from a Derby perspective, this 4-3 win is marginally better than coming from 4 nil down at home to Ipswich to draw 4-4. That match, we needed maybe 5 more minutes to win it, but hey ho. Anyway. I was thinking of starting up a kickstarter fund for Delia " Let's be avin-you " Smith, club together and buy her a large set of step ladders and a box of bulbs. But then again, I've seen the prices she charges for her mediocre match day dinners. Maybe 50p in the meter next time??
Only half way through the season why so many negatives by the Norwich fans on here you would have taken second at this stage at start of season. Keep the faith as we have to at Derby and I’m sure it will pay off.
@Mez 90 but Godfrey might have to cover as our left back until Lewis recovers or we get someone in on loan. Maybe Husband will come back and prove he's worth playing. Either way, Zimmerman has been brilliant until yesterday's horror show but now needs a rest, leaving Hanley to come back in.
Well I guess it was going to happen eventually. But still in second so no worries for now. Hopefully this was just a hiccup and not a start of something bad.
Tbf our defence has been fine for most of the season. We have 1 or 2 bad games and everyone loses their minds. We have 4 quality cbs. When all of our defenders are fully fit we'll be fine
Should Norwich gain promo they'll be relegated come next winter hols . That defense is awful . The midfield was too far forward , no protection for the back 4 .
4 defensive mistakes... You had 32% possession don't claim deserved 🙄🤷♂️ still props for finally being able to turn us over but with the circumstances... Such an odd game who knows what a result would have been in a straight up and down 90 mins...
@@ScragNath I'm not new to the oddities of football 😂 just wish it could be simple sometimes, that was the second time I can remember floodlights going out at carrow road however the last time was because of a lightning strike and they all went out against Zaragoza in a pre-season a few years ago..
@@NCFCLEAGUE1CHAMPS Cheers Harry, I have followed Derby since I was a kid in the sixties. We had a special management by the name s of Clough and Taylor. Not been anywhere near those dizzy heights for a long time. I think the premier league set has destroyed domestic football.
Pukki at fault for first two Derby goals.. third one ref for not giving foul on Steipermann, fourth one Zimmermann.. Krul should have maybe stopped one of them too. Farke got it wrong at the break.. should have brought on Hanley and taken off Cantwell.

Unlucky lads Zimmerman had a shocker
Norwich have best strikers and worst defenders in league :D
You say that, but look at Keough defending for Derby through the series! That's worse.
clearly getting derby and Norwich confused here, we have shit defence
West Brom have the best strikers you plank

Sheffield Utd are best, Norwich & Derby suck balls
Gutting but shoes been on the other foot plenty of times we go again Tuesday 🔰

Fascinating game yesterday this was.... All the best canaries from Barnsley FC 👍👍
Wouldn’t trust our lot to clear a table after that performance
So gutting but we were bound to lose again at some point. We bounce back at Brentford and prove doubters wrong 👊💛💚
Defence wasn’t the best but the ref was definitely against us.

All of Derbys goals could and should have been avoided. Shocking defending by City. 💛💚 . Hopefully back on track at Brentford.

Does anyone remember last season, when we used to complain about the boring football matches played at Carrow Road?

Deadly finishes from Pukki, but could it be said that he as at fault for not clearing Derby’s first two goals?
What is going on with Norwich City
What a game !

Yes. From what I've heard it was bright enough to continue playing and the conditions were fine- no snow and ice or fog.
