Exactly why most people will miss fish when they have it in their hands . When the fish strikes people most often will pull back as a natural reaction and pull the bait right out of the fishes mouth . He’s doing something right though . He had chances which is better than most .

Michel, you can't get too excited setting the hook too early on Chinook. Gotta really let them take the bait and not hookset till that rod literally doubles over. They have a tendency to mouth the bait and fool you into thinking they're hooked. Great video though. I'm gonna give that "sentry" style a try! Be well and fish on! Mark
