Not going to lie. I'm here because NHL22. I rarely listen to the songs, they're more background noise. But some songs come across the audio and you go "woah!" This song was one of two from the NHL22 soundtrack, and it hits personally on so many fronts. Kudos to you for creating such a moving song, and getting exposure you deserve.
This song hit me really hard as it lined up with thoughts I had just before I saw it posted on Facebook today. I was looking at pictures of my youngest son who killed himself two days after his birthday in Sept. 2018. I was telling him that he could have been anything he wanted to be. He was so natural at everything. It all came easily to him, athletics, wit, writing, drawing, and even working with tools. After crying, the first thing I saw on FB was the Strumbella's post. Then I looked the song up and cried again. It felt like my son telling me he's sorry. Not a minute goes by that I don't miss my son. I'd have done anything to help him be anything he wanted to be. His laughter and twinkling eyes was all that I ever wanted. He was enough.

Sorry for your loss! A friend's son committed suicide like a month ago it's so hard to see my friend crying for him and also his only sibling a big sister;...I have never had someone to close to me to committed suicide and it touch me really really bad because myself had have suicidal thoughts for many years but now I have 3 kids and even I feel so lost I'm going to keep on trying to not do it. It's really messed up to see the relatives trying to go with their lives while they grieving for the one who's not here anymore; he was going to be 19 this coming week. It's really sad I can't imagine lost one of my kids. God bless you!🙏

I've struggled with suicidal thoughts myself since I was thirteen. The world can be a very depressing place, and I've gone through a lot over the years, but nothing compares to the pain I feel now. I loved watching my son learn and grow and he had a magical ability to make all of us laugh. It's as if my heart is ripped out every day. But the love of family and friends gets me by. We lean on each other. The other thing that gets me by is countless signs and synchronicities that show me Levi's spirit is strong and still with me. It's just not the same as being able to hug him. Hug your Mom every time you see her, and count every small thing in life that brings you joy, a rainbow, a sun ray, a puppy. It's the heart that matters. "We are each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly by embracing one another." - Luciano de Crescenzo.
@@erickagarcia3592 It's heartbreaking, and I'm sure it's hard to know how to comfort your friend because the only thing you can really do is be there for her because this grief is beyond words. I wish more people that were close to me knew my son Levi because the one thing I needed or still need is to share memories. And hugs are often the only solace. Nineteen is so young. Keep going for your kids. Helping my sons is what has kept me alive for the last 30 years and now more than ever. Hugs!
That is a sad song hidden with in an upbeat melody..... depression is an demon to many hide and try to fight alone hidden behind smiles and " i'm fine" comments, its a great allegory for such an hard topic.

I heard this song for the first time today on Calgary's alternative x92.9 (I rarely listen to radio) and had to google to see who it was. Really resonated with me. Just don't understand how there's only 90k views, but life isn't a popularity contest.
after a life threatening metal breakdown (unbeknownst to everyone at the time), my mom sent me this song after hearing it. because it’s not the kind of music i usually listen to i was hesitant to listen or even like it at the time, but i added it to my playlist anyways. later on i came across it on my playlist and really listened to the lyrics, realizing that my mom understood what i was going through, despite what i thought she thought. to this day it lifts me up and makes me feel empowered in a way, not only because of the relatable lyrics, but because through this song i came to feel a little bit more understood by my mom and less alone in this world. *plus ppl sending me music is one of the most thoughtful things you can do (to me at least), so it’s a really endearing memory for me:)
