Weebit Nano is a developer of advanced Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) technology - Weebit ReRAM. The company’s ground-breaking Resistive RAM (ReRAM or RRAM) addresses the growing need for significantly higher performance and lower power memory solutions in a range of new electronic products such as Internet of Things (IoT) devices, smartphones, robotics, autonomous vehicles, 5G communications, and artificial intelligence. Weebit ReRAM allows semiconductor memory elements to be significantly faster, less expensive, more reliable, and more energy efficient than those using existing Flash memory solutions. As it is based on fab-friendly materials, the technology can be quickly and easily integrated with existing flows and processes, without the need for special equipment or large investments.
Weebit ReRAM offers significant performance advantages over traditional NVM technologies like Flash and can be easily integrated into your SoC. ReRAM is significantly more energy efficient and provides much better endurance and faster access time than Flash. It is also highly reliable at high temperatures - achieving up to 150°C - and is immune to radiation. ReRAM is also lower cost and less complex than other memory technologies, and as an embedded IP it can scale below 28nm, which flash can’t.
Weebit ReRAM is highly scalable and customizable by storage capacity, foundry, and process node. We are working with major foundries worldwide to make Weebit ReRAM broadly available. The technology is available in SkyWater Technology’s S130 process, is being transferred to DB HiTek’s 130nm BCD process, is proven in 28nm, and is being demonstrated in GlobalFoundries’ 22FDX® FD-SOI.
