After your review on the Mark IV die-cast yesterday, I am happy to be getting the new version and selling my original plastic version. I'm a collector who doesn't like to own multiple variations of the same figure so, I always sell the old ones to get the latest and improved updates. But, it really makes me happy to see reviewers like you who do hold onto the originals so you can share with us the comparisons and help us make our decisions. Great stuff, Justin! (It's too bad I missed out on ordering the Mark VI die-cast, however).
I am going to get this for my birthday in a few months. So excited worked hard for the money to afford at least a 400 dollar hot toy. I love this review, also you really deserve more subbs and stay safe and good luck👍
Are the accessories projectiles and weapons from mark 4 diecast and mark 6 diecast the same? Do they both can fit to each other back and forth, wondering because my mark 6 needs a right arm projectile, and i wanna know if my mark 4 one will fit, thanks
i do, it needs a new updated paint job and the other improvements that the new mark 2 has like no visible screws, better proportions and movable waist, they'll probs just call it a re-release
I would imagine so, but not anytime soon. I would rather wait for a completed new Mk III mould rather than a painted red/gold version of the MkII that we got. As you probably know, while the new Mk II has improvements its basically a update of the unleashed version, I (many) was hoping for a new mould like this one & other recent die-cast IM figures
The flaps actually pull out further, after you lift them give them a little tug backwards. You will then see that there are 2 little tabs that release and allow them to go out a lot further.
Great review as always👍🏼 so ive watched this a few times and i cant see difference in the paint , i know there is the silver and all that obviously but the red overall is the paint on the 4 that much better than the 6 ? O yea my mark 6 his ankles are a lil look too but he doesnt have any issues standing
If you all don’t know the height variances in the marks do vary in diecast due to accuracy of the films the marks got taller as time went on in the mcu
The MK4 squared off against the MK2 in the film and they were the same size unless I’m mistaken. This would mean the MK3 should be the same height as the MK4
When I compare the diecast mark iii and the diecast mark ii, the mold is completely different and the mark ii is actually taller than the mark iii. So I don’t know why everyone is saying that the mark ii diecast is a repaint of the mark iii. If anything I think hot toys should go back and use the mark ii diecast mold to make a diecast mark iii 2.0
The Arc Reactor on the Mk VI is molded after the newer, non Palladium version he developed in IM2. Would be interesting to see the Mk IV's chestplate on the Mk VI and vice versa (non battle damaged) Great video, exactly what I was looking for. Are the other interchangeable parts, missiles, etc completely identical or is the paint different?
Great review. I love my diecast mark 4 thanks justin for doing a comparison video it's very helpful I wish that I could find a mark 6 head sculpt any ideas?
When looking at the height differences between the Mark 2 or 3 compared to the Mark 4, 6, and 7 we have to consider their height difference in the MCU and that they were in fact taller and heavier battle armors. I understand reviewing them as toys. It's odd that no one reviews them as characters though. Mark 4 didn't give up the gun metal silver of the Mark 6, the Mark 6 adopted it (from a time line perspective). Things like that are strange to hear (at least for me). I do enjoy your reviews though. Mark 4 is arriving in the mail today!
Screw it!!! I've noticed that I have watched this video a few times now, so I am biting the bullet and going to get this figure! lol I realized I want it so bad!
So sideshow just fulfilled my long waitlisted mark vi which was a miracle! This mark 4 is now gonna be cancelled to get my money back and my rule for avengers only suits is not broken anymore. LOL
Haha me neither! If the people who thumbs downed want to tell me how I can improve that is constructive, however if you just dislike with no word on what I’ve done wrong in your eyes, nothing will change
Mk III, Mk IV and Mk V will always be my most favorite of the armors. I am not too keen on the suit's evolution becoming overly organic (although, I do realize it's because of his nano-technology).
Yes, I do like it too. I think it's because that one has become even more "skin tight" that it is actually looking more like a superhero suit and less heavy iron and metal. However, there are some scenes in Infinity War where Tony is Speaking with Peter or Steven and, the suit looked fairly "plastic" or vinyl-like and some of the metal feel was lost.
@@JustinsCollection Yes, the earlier suits definitely have more nostalgia. However my comment was based on 3rd party prices and resale value. The Mark XLVII is going for stupid amounts! The Mark IV is STILL by far my favorite suit. Can't wait for it's and subsequently the Mark VI's inevitable 1/4 treatment. Speaking of 1/4.... while we're at it, Marks XLVI and XLVII should make fine additions someday too!! And the Mark L is the most formidable in regards to capabilities.. but not a fan of its design and it's seemingly fluid nature. In the movie it felt LESS like a metal suit of armor and MORE like an organic substance or "symbiote".. Even the CGI had no "weight" to it. Let's keep the IRON in IRONman!!
I never understood why Hot Toys has always made every single red and gold iron man the same shade/ tone when in actuality some of the armors like the Mark 4 and Mark 6 are a much more bland red unlike the Mark 3 in which it is a more candy-apple metallic red. Another example of the proper red coloring being used is the die-cast Mark 43 where it is a more satin red and gold.
@@JustinsCollection Obviously I mean nothing against you because you are entitled to you own opinion. Overall keep up the fantastic work!!!! I love watching your reviews because they are a great way to really dig deep and decide whether or not to it is worth spending the money on a specific figure. Also do you intend to buy the 1/6 scale ‘Battle-damaged Mark 85’?
Love the MK 4! Great video Justin. Will try to get this new version.
Thanks Dean, I think if this is going to be your only iron man figure then do it!
The round reactor looks so much better to me :)
I am in love with this MK4.
Yep love it!

Damn, thats a shame about the MK6! And yeah no worries man, glad I could help!
I am going to get this for my birthday in a few months. So excited worked hard for the money to afford at least a 400 dollar hot toy. I love this review, also you really deserve more subbs and stay safe and good luck👍
Do it!
New to the channel here, i wish you can do a comparison between new and old Gantry . Thanks
Hey man, I didn’t end up picking up the new Gantry in the end!
I'm subscribing because you compared them, showing what i was looking for: interchangeable parts.
Thanks, glad I could help!

I believe so
Does anyone anticipate a redo of the Mark 3 diecast to get it up to par with all the recent die cast versions (2,4,5,6,7)
i do, it needs a new updated paint job and the other improvements that the new mark 2 has like no visible screws, better proportions and movable waist, they'll probs just call it a re-release

I would love to see a new MK3 but not any time soon.
A new die-cast Mark III battle damaged version and a die-cast Mark II Armor Unleashed version. Boom, height problem fixed.
Haha yeah man, although that would piss a lot of people off!
Mine came in last Wednesday,And it is Awesome, very happy with it 👍
Awesome man!
Do you think I should get the die cast mark 7
Yes!
The flaps actually pull out further, after you lift them give them a little tug backwards. You will then see that there are 2 little tabs that release and allow them to go out a lot further.
Oh interesting, might have to check this out!
Nice figure it’s looks really sharp, I may consider buying this one I don’t have too many Hot Toys and I don’t have any of the Iron Man figures.
If you only have one Iron Man figure then this would be a great one to have!
Hi can i check if the mark 6 can fit tony stark head sculpt from mark 5 or mark 4?
I think so
Great review as always👍🏼 so ive watched this a few times and i cant see difference in the paint , i know there is the silver and all that obviously but the red overall is the paint on the 4 that much better than the 6 ? O yea my mark 6 his ankles are a lil look too but he doesnt have any issues standing
The red is ever so slightly different in hand, I don’t think the camera handles red very well. Still not a fan of those ankles though

Yeah they made some changes
I haven’t received a email yet and ordered in last month 🙁
Damn!
Got it about a hour ago 😁
Oh good!
Are you going to pick up the new deadpool? I would love to see a comparison for the the 2 deadpools
Yep just arrived today that video is coming very soon!
Great video comparison, but I think you miss the comparison of the internal mechanism on the chest between the Mark IV and Mark VI.
They’re the same I think. I’ll confirm later today

Would be interesting to see the Mk IV's chestplate on the Mk VI and vice versa (non battle damaged) Great video, exactly what I was looking for. Is the faceplate of mark 4 is more glossy than the mark 6? Or basically they are just the same?
The same, just different weathering patterns
thank you! Great comparison video
Thanks!
Great review. I love my diecast mark 4 thanks justin for doing a comparison video it's very helpful I wish that I could find a mark 6 head sculpt any ideas?
Thanks man! Not sure where to get that sorry!
What up Justin? Who do you order your figures from?
Timcent
How did you know this figure was going to HK release a couple days before it was announced?
Sideshow has been “accidentally” leaking hot toys release dates. We chatted about it on the podcast

You're right they are different from an armour perspective on film. Thats awesome man, you'll love the mk4!
Hi justin, love the channel! Is the mms123 mark iv iron man the die-cast version as I want to be sure to not buy plastic one by mistake? Cheers
That is the plastic one!
Thanks for letting me know
My rule for hot toys iron man collecting is stay with the avengers suits(including civil war), but dang this suit makes me want to break that!
Haha don’t do it! Otherwise you’ll end up like me, too many figures and not enough money or space!
My collection started from just one mark 46 and that's it. Now I have more than I should. lol
LOL
I simply, and honestly, can not figure out why anyone would "down thumb" this video.
Haha me neither! If the people who thumbs downed want to tell me how I can improve that is constructive, however if you just dislike with no word on what I’ve done wrong in your eyes, nothing will change
Your mark iv is repainted?
No came like this
The Marks XLVI and XLVII are still kings of 1/6 Diecast Ironmen. But the Marks IV and VI are not too far behind.
Not sure I agree, in some ways I prefer the MK4 and 6 to the 46, probably the nostalgic part of me haha
Mk III, Mk IV and Mk V will always be my most favorite of the armors. I am not too keen on the suit's evolution becoming overly organic (although, I do realize it's because of his nano-technology).
Yep, agreed. But for some reason I’m in love with the MK50 😂

I want a mark 6 sooo bad
Get it!
@@JustinsCollection I can't. Its sold out.
My favourite armours are the mk 2 and 3 after that not to impressive
Fair enough!
