I've had a lot of Ventures and I have a definite love hate relationship with them. They have 8.5 and 8.75 trucks and they are very nice for doing tricks on bigger boards. The grind clearance is pretty awesome for a standard kingpin truck. The shape of the hanger makes them grind rough on concrete and the lack of material causes them to wear down pretty fast. They have a great turn that is there when you need it but stays tame when you don't need it. The bushings are ass and I swap in Indy orange replacement bushings. That being said I am sold on Slappy Trucks because they skate like Indy and Venture had a baby.
Yeah, they felt great on that board. Those three flips were really effortless. I might’ve forgotten to put the kickflips in the video, but I did a lot of them.
I had ventures as a teen, but i never bought them again. They feel cheap somehow idk they sounded kinda hollow too and thats the only truck i ever snapped an axel on it was a 180 off a curb too lol
Ventures ride well. The turning is more of a predictive turning, meaning your turns take a second longe, but they were designed for stree skating. Been skating Venture lows since 1842, or the early 90's. I can't remember. Both were wild times.
@@brucebruno842 i don't think modern venture lows have changed much tbh, other than the red bushings and no longer having 6-hole plates. mine are the 5.0(7.65") so they're pretty small, but work on an 8" deck with a wider wheel. super wheelbitey with 56mm, so i run risers.
@@diplenski Yeah, I have the 5.2 lows on an 8.125. Read bushings. I wanted a regular baseplate and axel and they showed that, but I wound up with a forged baseplate (widens wheelbase; which I skate 14" wheelbase) and hollow axel. A lil' too light for me. 50 mm Spitfire Classics original formula (I have F4s in 52 mm). That's a low truck for 56 mm wheels, lol.
@@brucebruno842 they're prob worn closer to 54mm, and hard bushings(stock grindking) idk how the bushings are still good, they've gotta be 20yo or more. i'm 6'3 220 and have to try pretty hard to wheelbite with the 1/8" risers
venture lows don't turn great, but i like them. i like the highs more. ventures on 14" wb and indys on 14.25" wb have pretty much identical axle-to-axle wb.
What exact truck size is this? I picked up this board and want to upgrade to those exact trucks u reviewed!! Thanks and keep up the great content my guy!!
I don’t think there’s an anti wheel bite feature unless you have the lurpiv hanger and baseplate together. The hanger has a square angle where the truck goes into the pivot cup
@@yesmaybe630 Lurpivs are close to thunder on the wheelbase. Venture has the longest then thunder then Indy then ace. My next Lurpiv review will be really positive because I’m really getting used to them. They’re the tallest truck but they feel like thunders when I pop. Interesting truck. They’re way too loose at first though.
I am not liking Venture right now. When I quit skating in 2003 I was skating Ventures and loved them. I started skating again late last fall and got an element complete with element trucks. Those trucks work fine but they use two top bushings and normal bottom bushings won’t fit in them so when I put together my latest street set up I got some Ventures. These are garbage. They eat bushings in a single session. I took them off, cranked them as tight as they would go and they are now on my freestyle set up. I’ll never buy Ventures again.
i dont know if i should cop them im skating indys 8.25 trucks on a 8.5 deck and someting just isnt clicking for me i need something better i dont wanna waste my money on ventures and they are trash i had a pair when i was younger and the kingspin broke on me while i was hillbombing
It’s the only tiny deck I have. Yeah not sure who would ever look up venture trucks. A better title would be Yuto’s truck setup. I need to take notes from local Joe.
I love my ventures ! Was using thunder and Indy before but I think these are my favourite as of now . Never tried aces before

nah hell nah
ventures are the best especially on 14inch wb

Hahhahahaaaa Aaron getting shafted on the board is the reason I stayed :D
Thanks I appreciate that.

Interesting. It seemed fine to me but I’ve barely skated them. I honestly thought it’d be worse.

i have some venture lows from early-mid '90s on one of my setups now, had green bushings when new
@@diplenski Ohh shit, Venture Featherlites, I'd buy em' if they still made em'. I actually liked those bright green bushings.

Never tried ventures and alway skated indys till now i am trying ouy slappys they seem to turn very well.
You should probably stick with slappys.
venture and indy are my top picks, maybe a bit of an edge to venture but i have more indys than ventures.
Same bro 🤝

You should check out some Tensors.
I have ACE trucks on my Braille skateboard
How are the ace trucks on the braille board is the wheelbase short for Ace?
You must feel great supporting pedo cults
@@MichaelRelevant Not much match very well but the skateboard is much tall.
Thunders wheelbase is actually a lil bit longer according to Ben Degros. It’s the lows that have the longest wheelbase
The lows have a longer wheelbase than the highs? What does he skate? Lows?
Yes the lows have a longer wheelbase than the hi. Yes he likes to skate the lows

Man this is some cringey clickbait. HURR DURR KYRO AND BRAILLE GUYS PLEASE CLICK. You found the only way to be a bigger loser than Aaron.

It worked yay! So you clicked cuz you’re a big Aaron Kyro fan?
