Cloth are the best! Starchy fabric and vinyl are not as good, but still acceptable. I don't really like the ones made out of blades, except maybe the ones on Zane's ice dragon creature because thematically they work.
My favorite wings are the fabrik wings. But for Chinese looking dragons the (single) blade wings work better. The one peace wings schould only be used for small dragons, gliding dragons, dragons that don't fly anymore and wings are a leftover from their flying ancestore or dragons that use wings as a Display Feature.
my favourite wings are from the 70736, it’s a beautiful dark green and you can see the bones through it, it’s the perfect material, shape and design, the legacy fire dragon is close behind but i don’t like the gap
I have to admit Lloyd’s green thin dragon is my absolute favorite even after years later. It was my favorite to build and it’s still my favorite to pose
Cloth will be my favorite but blade wings i think are second best and probably better for play with kids getting more of the idea of how sharp they are and cutting through enemies
Always hated the blade wings in every scenario, some worse than others though, the ability to fold is also extremely important. the newest electrical dragon is a great exception to this however. textile fabric capes always blow my mind though, definetely my favourite.
Wings... I have to say, the only ones I actually like are the fabric/vinyl wings. Especially, I think Firstbourne demonstrates why - its wings are fully filled out, yet they can also fold up. You can make wings that can fold up using the bladed wings but... the bladed wings are gappy, and I don't like that look, it's not as elegant. Meanwhile, with the molded wings, in a larger build I feel they would lead to a stylistic clash much like molded heads do, and would need to be a size that LEGO does not make them in. But most importantly, they're static - you can't fold them. You can perhaps pose them to the side somehow but, that again, doesn't look very elegant. I will say though, Firstbourne's wings do have one issue - a sacrifice for its wingflap mechanism is that the wings are not poseable, which I think it is a huge shame. I wish they were on some sort of ball joint. I'm not sure if there's a dragon that does that and also has the foldable fabric/vinyl wings though (Edit: Oh I see, the NRG dragon). I will say, the blade wings do look good on the Prime Empire dragons while molded wings are appropriate for minifigures. Interesting that your Firstbourne wings don't seem to want to fold... mine work perfectly fine.
I see many people saying cloth is best, but I think Lego just hasn't done a good enough job on buildable wings. Like you pointed out, this is probably due to cost reasons, but having built better wings myself, I can't help but think buildable wings WOULD be the best if they were done better than Lego has presented them.
Yeah that's so true. The wings of the golden ultra dragon are so incredibly ugly imo and they are way to small in comparison to the rest of the dragon. The fabric wings would have prevented that and they would have looked way more beautiful.
I prefer fabric or vinyl, but I felt that the blades looked good on Lloyd's Golden Ultra Dragon. The dragon looks so ornate and brutish, that I don't think a fabric would have worked. The fabric would look dull to the pearl gold and it looks much too delicate for such a beefy dagon. I think vinyl could have worked, but you would have lost functionality.
I have to disagree. Lloyd's legendary dragon is built like Arnold Schwarzenegger and it looks perfect with its cloth wings. Fabric wings on the Golden Ultra Dragon don't even have to be entirely gold, they could have colorful patterns representing the four elements.
Griefbringer is definitely my favorite. I did modify the wings a bit to give it much better articulation.

My favourite is fabric!. They hold their shape and doesn’t suffer the creases of vinyl, my favourite dragon is Boriell!. Have a great day Pen.
I like cloth and fabric wings the best. Brick built wings feel skeletal and bare bones. The more realistic wings make the dragon feel more alive.
It's interesting that your firstbourne's wings can't fold, but my firstbourne's wings can fold perfectly and stay in place
Vinyl and Cloth are the best.

07:03 this is weird. I have Firstbourne too and the wings don't spring open. She is standing on a shelf right know and her Wings are closed.
Cloth will be my favorite but blade wings i think are second best and probably better for play with kids getting more of the idea of how sharp they are and cutting through enemies
Awesome video! Now we need a video about dragon heads.

One of the best ‘blade” wing designs is Zane’s ice dragon creature from this year, in my opinion

Amazing video you earned a new sub
Cloth wings are best and I also really like firstbournes wings those type of wings are best
I think the fabrics ones are the best.
I like fabric wings the best.
for me fabric wings are the most detailed wings and i wish they did fabric wings for the golden ultra dragon

@@SimmiSun and if they did do fabric wings on the dragon i would like function to be the same as the firstbourne dragon
Fabric easily imo

uh my firstborne's wings fold with no problem.. I don't know what you mean
The legacy fire dragon is one of the worst ninjago sets in history, if you have bought it, you know
