- "Minecraft: New Vegas" is the ultimate experience, combing both the intricacies of single player Fallout quests and choices with the unpredictability of a multi-player world. All of this is enhanced by a hardcore environment where the weak can perish from wildlife, and the brutish can enslave towns. Teamwork is extremely encouraged to survive the Mojave Wasteland.
"Minecraft: New Vegas" allows you to live within the world of Fallout in a way no other media does. You build your character up from nothing, and can become whatever you want. A soldier in the New California Republic, a caravanner with the largest caravan outfit in the wastes, a gambler in the Vegas casinos, a survivor in the wastes, a repairman, a scavenger, a leader of a tough raider gang, etc. You have the ability to take the life of anyone, or anything you see. You can barter and steal any item you find. No other MMO has this level of freedom. This has D&D levels of detail, but with all the benefits of an online game, and without the drawbacks.
The project features a custom built and wholly unique mod, tailor-made to give you the best Fallout inspired experience within Minecraft. It features a 1-to-1 recreation of the Fallout New Vegas map, immersive gunplay and chems galore! Credit to Relicit, past co-owner, for a lot of the work on the map.

Actually, there already was FalloutCraft. It was in the same launcher as Stalcraft, but devs hided it away some time ago, for some reason.
Yeah, FalloutCraft really exists, but now this project is closed for restructuring and global update
I would love to see this idea fully fleshed out with the DLC locations as well.

Used to play on a few Fallout-themed Minecraft servers back in the early 2010's. Servers like Fallout Wild Wasteland, Fallout: Aftermath, and some that followed. This is the level of detail and complexity that we dreamed of, but wasn't technically possible back then. Looks great.
What's the lore from the official franchise that you consider to be canon for this server's setting?
F01, F02, F03 and FNV are canon. Server takes place after the canonical house ending with minimal courier intervention.

Not a minecraft player but this has a lot of interesting possibilities it would take a long time but you could slowly build the entire world in fallout
That's what we aim to do. At least as far as NV DLCs and potentially Capital wasteland.

Good idea, I do need to remove gun kick, and add the aux fire sound (IE if you have to pump your weapon on a jam)
i hope there will be quests and a story with NPCs. Maybe an original story, instead of a 1:1 recreation? itll be hard to live up to new vegas through.
It does have an original story! It takes place after the events of FNV.

on one hand this looks awesome and I love new vegas/fallout in general
on the other hand having to interact with online strangers and their communities which is always been such a gamble
maybe I should find some game of chance to determine if I should allow myself to have some faith in this

They are gonna gate keep the shit out of you in the discord you literally have to apply to get in and if they don't like your RP they'll just gate keep you and make you fill out the application again
@@vossmasta thats to play the server. It’s not gatekeeping, it’s keeping people out who will grief/troll/not actually care about the worldspace.
Additionally, the mod is literally available for download on curseforge. You don’t even need to join the discord to use the mod yourself or with friends.
Literally submitted application with lore friendly rp and got denied twice by gatekeepers cause in one of the responses I said I had a ranger sequoia they straight up were like no you don't lol.. I was like OK then I have a .45-70 single action then they were like denied

Did you join the old server? The staff there are a bunch of sticklers, so it would check out if you applied there and got denied. Make sure to join the server linked in this video
I am not surprised that this is another overhaul mod thats only for multiplayer. Like many others, gives me "scott" ptsd lelel.
In singleplayer it has most likely zero use. Since you'd need the map, plugins/etc for the npcs. There's no ruins/poi's to explore in singleplayer. Lots of stuff is probably missing.
It was not made for singleplayer, no. That’s just not what the focus was. Maybe one day I’ll add more features for it, but the main reason the mod exists is so people can experience Fallout but together and in Minecraft.
making it for singleplayer would require it to literally be a 1:1 of new vegas in minecraft. that would take eons for the average mod devs to make, considering how in depth new vegas is (despite it not being everything obsidian wanted to make).
it would be best as a multiplayer/coop centred mod with pve aspects, so you don't need 50 people just to play it.
...also, why would you even want it to be like new vegas? we already HAVE new vegas as it is. there would be no reason to play a minecraft version of new vegas, it'd just be the same experience but worse.
on the other hand, we don't have any proper multiplayer experience for new vegas. at least not any reliable ones. so this is good, as long as it's made well.
@cr1tikal_arc No one's asking for a 1:1 new vegas doe. If there's at least ruins that spawn with loot. It'd make the singleplayer at least usable.

Power armor is in the mod, but in the server it is so rare that most players will likely never lay eyes on it. Most of the groups that are known for it have died out ages ago, like the BoS

I adore this concept, but my immediate question is if this could be made to work as a singleplayer experience as well. It'd be a really cool novelty, and a great starting point for other projects to be built upon.
Great question! It can be made to work as a singleplayer experience, but a lot of work would need to be done to make a singleplayer map for it. It is first and foremost to allow the server (or other servers) to create an experience for players, not so much a plug-and-play survival.
It would be cool if someone made a map with it, for singleplayer users.

Because lots of people myself included will be disappointed if its multiplayer only.
It is made for multiplayer BUT it is useable on singleplayer. But don’t feel scared to join the official server, we’re very welcoming!

But no, i have 0 interest in joining something roleplaying in minecraft, those are not a good idea, usually people really get pissed off if you dare to break character even for a split second, and people that follow these rules by the book are usually big assholes, the rules can even be obnoxious, or the mods are jerks and ban you if you don't follow whatever they say.
