"Miasto"

Film „Miasto” został realizowany z okazji 140 rocznicy przybycia Sióstr Służebniczek do Dębicy. To historia „Miasta”, które kształtowała obecność Sióstr, ich służba chorym, biednym i potrzebującym, ale przede wszystkim próba odpowiedzenia sobie na pytanie jaka byłaby Dębica bez Sióstr.
W filmie poruszony jest m.in. wątek ratowania ludności żydowskiej w czasie wojny przez Siostry Służebniczki Dębickie. Dzięki pracy Pana Michała Kalisza (pracownika Instytutu Pamięci Narodowej w Rzeszowie), który dotarł do zeznań i wspomnień uratowanej Sabiny Honigwachs a następnie odnalazł rodzinę siostry Ambrozji Łączniak 28 czerwca 2018 roku w miejscowości Biecz odbyła się ceremonia wręczenia medali i dyplomów ,,Sprawiedliwy Wśród Narodów Świata” przyznawanych przez Instytut Yad Vashem. W gronie odznaczonych tym honorowym tytułem znalazły się dwie siostry ze Zgromadzenia Sióstr Służebniczek Dębickich: Zofia Liszka - Siostra Serapiona i Marcjanna Łączniak - siostra Ambrozja, które w czasie Holokaustu uratowały dziewczynę żydowskiego pochodzenia - Sabinę Bruk Honigwachs.
Kolejnym wątkiem jest fakt wyrzucenia Sióstr Służebniczek z Klasztoru na Krakowskiej z przeznaczeniem go na szpital w 1954 roku oraz dalszych represji wobec Sióstr a także postawy Dębiczan wobec tego faktu.
W opracowaniu w/w wykorzystano materiały ze zbiorów Archiwum Akt Nowych w Warszawie, Archiwum Głównego Sióstr Służebniczek w Dębicy, Archiwum Muzeum Regionalnego w Dębicy. Przedstawiają one dokumenty kierowane do Wojewódzkiego Urzędu Publicznego w Rzeszowie oraz do Rady Państwa w Warszawie.
Dzięki ukazaniu tej prawdy historycznej możliwe stało się przedstawienie młodemu pokoleniu Dębiczan i nie tylko, złożoności historii i przybliżenie prawdy historycznej „Miasta”,w którym od 140 lat pełnią swoją posługę Siostry Służebniczki
Film zrealizowany został w Instytucie Dziennikarstwa i Zarządzania Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego przy współpracy Sióstr Służebniczek w Dębicy, Muzeum Regionalnego w Dębicy oraz Polskiego Radia Lublin S.A.

The documentary „Miasto” was produced in connection with the 140th anniversary of the Servants Sisters’ arrival to Dębica. It portrays the history of the city, which was formed by the presence of the Sisters, their service to the sick, the poor and the ones in need, but first and foremost challenges the state that Dębica would had been in, had it not been for the Sisters. The documentary among others tells the story of how the Jewish community was being saved by the Servant Sisters in Dębica during World War II. Thanks to the work of mr. Michał Kalisz (an employee of the Institute of National Rememberance in Rzeszów) who was able to get a hold of the testimony of the saved Sabina Honigwachs and who found the family of sister Ambrozja Łączniak, on 28 June 2018 a ceremony honoring „the Righteous among the Nations of the World” organized by the Institute Yad
Vashem was held in the city of Biecz. Among the receipients of this honorary title were two sisters from the Servant Sisters Convent from Dębica - Zofia Liszka (sister Serapiona) and Marcjanna Łączniak (sister Ambrozja), who saved Sabrina Bruk Honigwachs, a Jewish girl, during the Holocaust. Another aspect of the documentary is the eviction of the Servant Sisters from the Convent on Cracow Street and the transformation of the buildings into a hospital in 1954 as well as further repressions against the sisters and also the reaction of the people in Dębica to this fact. In the production of the documentary, documents from the New Act Archives in Warsaw;
The Main Archives of the Servant Sisters in Dębica and The Archives of the Regional Muzeum of Dębica were used. The documents are adressed to the Regional Public Authorities in Rzeszów and to the Board of the Country in Warsaw. Thanks to the portrial of this historical truth, it was possible to tell the story to the young generation of Dębica, and not only to them, of „the City” (Dębica) in which the Servant Sisters have been working for the last 140 years. The documentary was produced in the Institute of Journalism and Management of the Catholic University in Lublin in collaboration with the Servant Sisters from Dębica, the Regional Muzeum in Dębica and the Polish Radio of Lublin.
