Andrew - I bought the wings and tail feathers of a Great News (the fus had been destroyed) and I want to build the fuselage - from where can I obtain the plan? Thanks if you can help. malcolm davis 07511 248 308
You can still obtain both the kit and plan from Ben Buckle, the plan can be found here: www.benbucklevintage.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=31_2_9&products_id=76 It's quite an interesting fuselage to build as it's curved on both the top and the bottom of the fuselage. Once you've made your fuselage sides they're built together using the wing seat as your flat reference point - like this: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=779114&highlight=great+news+curvy&page=3 Hope this is of some help! Andrew
Thank for the comment Bernard, Haven't flown the model for sometime now.
We fly at Beaulieu Heath, in the New Forest.
Beautiful! What's your average flight time?
Nicely built and flown. I'm building a great news at the moment, can you remember what you ended up with for side and downthrust on the motor?
