Some insane luck with powerup drops there, usually you dont even find like half of that spawn rate (during my time on official pvp). The key to easily beating this on alpha is to maintain your lvl3 laser buff. The powerup spawn below the drop zone is the default spawn that does not have a despawn timer, so you should always cycle through it until you get a laser upgrade. Then you can keep it there until you have enough to do lvl3 laser, and drill into the skiffs or boss. Btw the meteors also drop powerups, and sometimes its destroying them too far away and checking after destroying them. You can leave the enemies aggroed onto you because they can also serve as powerup drops when needed. Overall, you just need to be able to avoid damage better.
at 2:46 I recommend either going middle and destroying the middle Skiff with 2 grenades (Makes round 1 easier and only spawns one skiff) or go to the doors further to the right as its easiest to dodge all pillars. If you press N you switch firing mode to "charged shot" just without the aimlock, which I found best for killing skiffs as one shot does 250 and it rapid fires it. I mostly switch firing mode while going for meteors and then I turn back and do dmg while saving grenades
