About the Show:
Hi, I’m Dax Shepard, and I love talking to people. I am endlessly fascinated by the messiness of being human, and I find people who are vulnerable and honest about their struggles and shortcomings to be incredibly sexy. I invite you to join me as I explore other people’s stories. We will celebrate, above all, the challenges and setbacks that ultimately lead to growth and betterment. What qualifies me for such an endeavor? More than a decade of sobriety, a degree in Anthropology and four years of improv training. I will attempt to discover human “truths” without any laboratory work, clinical trials or data collection. I will be, in the great tradition of 16th-century scientists, an Armchair Expert.

Monica as a vet tech I recommend a Pitt bull. Super smart, snuggly, intimidating to others, doesn’t shed a lot.
Yes!!
I support this idea!
Yes!!!
This is great. I usually skip the fact checks in the podcast (since it’s not really a fact check 😂) but watching you chat is superior. This is the way to do it 🎉
Apparently any dog in the home will protect because an intruder does not want to draw attention to themselves. So a small dog will not physically protect you from an attack but the small dog will protect you to the same degree due to their noise making ability. So you can get whatever dog you want. There are many that don't shed much.
I respect where Dax is coming from however it’s such a privileged position. When you’re part of a marginalized group whose rights and very existence is being threatened we don’t have that luxury nor should we want those actively voting against our free will to feel comfortable.
this happens a lot on the podcast. I got exhausted speaking up in the kindest way possible.
If you're still blowing your nose, have you considered it's your body filtering the ash outta the air you're breathing as you're breathing it?
Is anyone else blowing their nose more than usual?
Turning his girls’ losses on its head and celebrating a “perfect season” instead made me so happy to hear.
We need to learn to accept our losses and the failures that happen in life, but sometimes we also need a perception adjustment, acknowledge it, laugh about it, and move on.
*Finding the humor in that is a legit great life tool that farrr more people would be better off having learned.*
Have you tried a neti pot to get rid of the congestion
Monica, get a bernedoodle! No shedding, super snuggly with us, but she’s 70 lbs and is a family dog so super protective of her people and so smart. Ours, Russet, is 5 and I always feel super safe home alone and on walks. She’s like a ferocious cartoon character!
Have a goldendoodle, 5 year old, 75lb big boy (when he stretches out next to me he’s about as long as I am tall), insanely cuddly, super athletic and can be high energy, very protective of me, but also chill AF & loves naps.☺️
Any mix with doodles seem to be very chill.
And as someone who previously only ever had shelties throughout my life, it’s sooo nice to not have to deal with the shedding!
I suggest a Black Russian Terrier. Extremely loyal, TALL n BIG, and a great companion. They aren’t hypoallergenic but the shedding is as minimal as you can get. Look into them! I had a super sweet girl in my life that I loved 😊
I feel big time Doodle energy for Monica
Monny-if you did get a shepherd just get it groomed monthly and that will keep the shedding down a ton...would also help Dax when he visited because the dander would be much less. All that said, shepherd are usually not a first time dog owner type dog. But if you worked with a trainer I'm confident you could handle it.
I loved Jyoti on American Horror Story 🖤
I wish someday DAX adds Monica's name in the bio of the show or in the podcast title! they started the show years ago and she has been a coHOST throughout and on every media app it only says Armchair Expert with Dax sheperd and no mention of monica literally anywhere not in the about this show,,. i hope it is just an innocent mistake and not a deliberate thing.. love both of you ❤
💙 ya’ all
Do not get a doodle!!
There isn’t a single reason in the world to NOT get a doodle.
They are basically furry people. Incredible companions. And no shedding.
*Why do you hate the best things in life!?😳*
@ are you ok
@@Ladybird.21 ask any vet or vet tech, and they will give you many reasons...mostly it is because they end up having many genetic issues. Yes, they are usually very sweet, but they can also be extremely high strung and they are also not usually hypoallergenic like most people believe.
