Former Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields said in an interview earlier this week that The Pittsburgh Steelers have a much better coaching staff than the Chicago Bears and threw a ton of shade at Bears head coach Matt Eberflus.
Eberflus, who was fields head coach for the previous two seasons, currently has a 11-26 record as the leader of The Chicago Bears, and no playoff appearances. With Fields, he went 5-3 to end last season, but just missing the playoffs. Fields, who now player under Mike Tomlin and alongside Russell Wilson, is 3-0 and not showing any signs of slowing down.
The Chicago Bears also have reported that there could be a potentially different offensive line out there this Sunday against the LA Rams, as Darnell Wright is still day-to-day with a back injury, and Nate Davis is questionable as he's been limited in practice all week so far. This could mean that Matt Pryor is back in for the Chicago Bears after a solid game against the Colts, along with rookie Kiran Amegadjie being get his first NFL action this upcoming Sunday against the Rams.
Along with this, Roschon Johnson, 2nd year man out of Texas and best running back on the Bears roster at the moment, is rumored to be getting a lot more touches this upcoming Sunday against a poor Rams defensive line that is the worst rush defense in the NFL. Johnson, averaging 3.9 yards per carry, will help open up the Bears overall offensive if they can establish the run.
Rookie Caleb Williams, coming off a 363 yard passing game, a Bears single-game record for a rookie, is hoping for more change to the offensive groove. Shane Waldron took the blame again on Thursday, 9/26/24, about how he can be better for both Williams and the overall offense.

Getting the benefit of the doubt because it was a complete tear down year one and start the rebuild year two. Nobody could have won the first two years…Not saying he is a good or bad coach but IT think being in a rebuild some decisions could be coming up that wouldn’t come up on a team not completely stripping the team down to rebuild..Very few players pre poles left. Not saying we don’t need improvement but I didn’t expect anything until at least year 4 when they said rebuild.. not possible in just a few years

Justin was a quitter who didn't want any advice from vets like Dalton and nick foles in his rookie year and clearly never watched film because he always looked lost and still does. The bears gave him three years and he made VERY little improvement during his time. He's a game manager for Pittsburgh nothing special lol

Pitt has some new pieces on their offense. Tomlin’s philosophy is ball control, field position and win the turnover battle. Very clear cut. For that reason in week 1 and 2 they played very conservative offense. As the season progresses the slowly open the faucet on the offense. Eberflus who has a defense that’s just as good doesn’t seem to have any philosophy and in week 1 -3 have tried to use CW like he’s P Mahomes.
They blamed Justin. Now they blame the line and now their blaming swift. You keep having the same problems. I wonder why?

BEAR 🐻 DOWN BABY, FGB, PVO, Offense Line Couch is problem that I can see. Couch that was behind Eberflus in last week’s game was calling for 1 point conversion when Eberflus was in front of him putting up two fingers for the two point try and that’s what cost us a timeout and confusion on the field. That has got to change.

Bears fans really expect the team to fire another OC 3 games in? Chris Morgan (maybe - sounds like he may be a problem with his style and how he is developing or not developing the O linemen). If this team is paying attention to what Fields is saying, I would highly doubt it - of course Fields would say that- he did not have a good time in Chicago. But what he says does not matter. Caleb has already shown he is better than Fields at this stage of his tenure even with no running game (which Fields had) and terrible play by the offensive line. We could have and should have won 2 out of the 3 - Bears called for an offfsides that gave the ball back to Indy when they should have called a false start on Indy (with a big movement by the center - that is 7 points Indy would not have had on a bad call). They also failed to call pass interference on a 2 point try when the guy was way early. One even partial block by Kmet and the fatal turnover would not have happened. Football games come down to one bad call or one bad block - otherwise, we would celebrating Caleb’s second win and an amazing 360 yards passing - something we never came close to seeing with Fields. So I am tired of this fanbase which I am beginning to think is the worst in the league and a big reason why the Bears continue to struggle because they constantly demand people be fired, send bad vibes to both players and coaches who have to fend them off and focus on their task at hand. Fans should learn that they need to focus on the positive - not the negative and support their team no matter what. If you did what fans do to the Bears in their personal life, their personal life would be an absolute disaster.

Their leading rusher from last year is on a different team... and he was a QB not a running back. and he missed 4 games last season and STILL lead the team in rushing yards with 657.
They also did nothing to address the OLine which is the most important part of the running game. Swift had 1000 yards behind the top 5 OLine in Philadelphia last year. Here he looks like he doesn't belong in the league.
Poles 1st. There's no excuse on Earth to take a quarterback first when you could trade down and probably put two or three guys right in that are Top Flight lineman from the draft we've been watching these quarterbacks for the bears run and run and run and run for their lives

Fields was part of the problem with the team. He’s not playing lights out in Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh playing good defense and he’s not taking bone headed sacks and turning the ball over like he did with us. It’s still early but he needs to slow his roll.
Love Justin, I wish him the best, and he is correct. I hope this is not the case, but we are about to mess Caleb Williams up as well.

Fire flus ASAP. The object should be to win the super bowl, and the Bears have no chance with flus. He has no originality and is just not smart. The defense is good, more because of the players than him. His scheme allow few open lanes to the quarterback and therefore pressure on the opposing QB is minimal. The defense rarely plays well against the very few good quarterbacks it's faced. I really don't see what he offers or why he was even hired in the first place. Don't compound the mistake of his hire by continuing to keep him and wasting a very good team.

Eberflus has the worse organizational skills and game management skills of any coach in NFL. He has had to lose more coaches in season and has made more poor hired than any coach in the NFL. All of this goes back to Poles who wouldn't fire Eberflus this past off-season. And now Eberflus is working into lame status. 2025 is the year for the Bears even if they fire Flus. Try to get Ben Johnson from Det or Bob Slowik from Hou for HC. Leave Washington for DC and Hightower for ST. Johnson or Slowik can fix the offense. Poles uses the #1 pick for Edge Rusher, the rest of DL is good. The two #2 picks for OG and C. With Davis cut, Allen not re-signed, plenty of cap to sign a good FA OT and possibly Jenkins. Armedaje improves, Jones and Wright are solid. OL problems solved. Caleb in year 2 will be much better under Johnson or Slowik. DJ, Rome, Scott are good WR, Kmet good TE, RB solid with Johnson and Swift. We have #3, #4 picks for offensive depth. Maybe get another #3 if Cunningham becomes a GM. No need to panic. Just fire Flus at end of year, get Johnson or Slowik for Poles usually drafts well. Poles problems been trading high draft pick for veteran talent ala Claypool. That #2 pick could have went for an OL. Trading for Allen and his contract for one year could have been used to sign FA OL and keep that #4 pick. But that ship sailed so the plan changes to fix the OL for 2025 via draft and FA with a new offensive minded HC.
