Thank you! Your comment about how long your journal took to make - from original idea to this video - wow! Here I was, thinking about how impressive it is that you’re so “together” (plus being a wife, mom, homeschooling parent, UA-camr *and* now a runner?!). What a relief to know that you’re just sharing your stuff - and your heart - and going through whatever happens in your world, and that you don’t always have everything “just so”. Good to know. I hope to remind myself about that, when my thoughts tell me that I am too slow with what I am doing.
As a fellow solopreneur, there really can be times when we just feel like there isn’t enough wind in our sails. That was me, just a couple of days ago. I felt completely kaput. I decided to simply take a rest day. I napped. 3 or 4 times, I think. I needed it. I came back to my projects with restored oomph, ready to work on the next thing in my list, and letting it be ok that not everything is ok.
Congrats on your running successes! I let out an audible cheer for you, when you mentioned something like, “hmmm, I wonder if I could do a 10K?” Clearly, running gives you the thing that you were hoping to find in the other practices you mentioned.
I live with issues in my tissues that prevent me from running. That said, I ❤ to watch people run. Especially in races or football. The human body amazes me, in the things that it can do. How people get their bodies to move like that is stunning. I know, for most people, running comes naturally, even to those who are not athletic. For me - never. Not even in childhood. Connective tissues are (insert favorite four-letter word here)… oh well.
I can walk, and I love walking.
I was paralyzed last May, thanks to a severe stroke. I taught myself to walk again. My goal is to be to at least 12K steps per day, by the time of my 1-year anniversary of having that stroke. I’ll make it.
Beautiful and uplifting journal work. I like it. Cheers! 😊

I passed the 12K steps goal. Walking still doesn’t come easy for me. I can’t say that I am what one might call an “athletic” walker. I move like an aged woman. That’s OK. I’m upright. I can move on my own power. I might be slow, but so what? Loads of people love Escargot. 🤣 (Being able to have a laugh when something isn’t easy can be a good thing.)
Cheers to you on your continued running life. May your heart stay healthy and your legs carry you far for a long time. Perhaps your daughter will be inspired to run with you someday. 🤣
