KTM 1050 Adventure Review & Testride - Part One!

- This is KTMs "baby" adventure bike. If this is a baby KTM... wow.
Had to break this into two parts. Go watch both :D
Part1 is the general review and one very twisty road.
Part2 is some "Offroading" - the most I can do with a test-ride machine. And my usual test road :)
And conclusions.

About day running lights: according police regulations, day lights are possible to use only without front beam enabled. So you have got to choose one or another. Its nice KTM does it automatically, so we are always within legal boundaries :)
I own the ktm, 1050 adventure and love the Bike having had many other bikes. I also own a BMWGS 1200 and I much prefer ktm. I recently sold my 790 adventure ktm. The 1050 is much nicer than the 790, where was that little town you were driving through it was beautiful.

It feels funny. What's off road in Portugal is highways in india. Haha. We do offroading everyday 😊.
I ride 250 Yamaha ttr enduro ,but this KTM 10.50 is the beast...I will go for it one day.

auto daytime lights is my best guess as to why they shut off
BuhLakeh Yes , it's dailytime lights, if he tried to get into the underground parking garage , the low beam would turn on again, It most probably have ambient light sensor to switch between those 2 automatically, that's why for a while the low beam was on.
TerraBiker I don't understand why it doesn't just stay on full time. I've never heard anyone complain about being too visible while on their motorcycle.
because those daylight LEDs are bright enough to make you visible even at very sunny day , while you save your low/high beam bulb life for dark. It's modern trend here in EU to use LEDs this way.
I would like to ride the KTM and then the Triumph XR on your streets in the video.

How does it compare to the nc750 as an entry level adventure bike?
+basch88 Not compareable. The KTM is much more powerfull than the nc750 but also more expensive.

Superb bike, had it for 3 days, did not go off-road, but handled so well of tarmac, I did buy a secondhand KTM (SMT) because I could not afford this one. However, now there is a promo and you can get this bike for 9999€ !!!! and it is itching not to buy it :)

+Blue Sea 2 years ago I was making the same decision of yours man. After testing tenere and versys I've made my decision on v-strom a very reliable and pretty bike that will make your face grin ;)

Dude was that even off roading those are normal roads not even single part of off roading
