There's a correction 3:02 in a formula to find the diameter of the bolt *[ Correct Formula is:- 6.05√Tmin ]* By mistake I wrote 6.01√Tmin, Don't worry this correction will not affect the answer of bolt diameter because we take a round off value.

Sir, isme question me double cover butt joint hai , isliye Bolt value = minimum of shearing, bearing and tention value lena hai na. Ap tension value nhi liye hai. Am I right sir? 16:40

Why don't we calculate tensile strength of bolt (not plates)? I saw in IS code in clause 10.3.5 there is also mentioned tension capacity. Where do we use that?

Two plate are joined to form butt joint.
For one plate we obtain no of bolt =4.
since plate are assymetrical total bolts for another plate is also 4.
Total =8
