she is a kind of duelist controller and very hard to play and master imo. Her fragile icefield combine with that high rof and accurate smg would devastate any enemies with max heavy armor under than a sec. And wtf with the bear, its literally an one-side wall, you can pre-fire at enemies for advantage but enemies cant 💀
yeah i think the biggest advantage she has is her ability to shoot through her bear! if you have the snowball awakening you can throw from range and still use her bear as cover being able to shoot through it while the bear absorbs all the damage.
her playstyle is probably like crypto from apex where she needs to use her bear very early every round before any gunfight to survey the enemy. And I feel like you can use her bear as a cover if you wanna play her aggressively(use the snowball awakening instead of the auto charge) but the auto charge might be useful too if you dont want to press q twice every gunfight
Agreed. Aside of her gun which is ridiculously accurate even at long range, her kits r mostly insignificant. Using her bear to survey at the start means nothing at neutron rank n above. Her best utility is to freeze the floor at the spot where gunfight mostlikely happen (make enemy take more dmg if they step on ice). But there r 2-3 bomb sites so it still redundant. Her upgrades (aside of gun upgrades r armor) r also nearly useless. She rly need some buff or rework in my opinion.
I main Xinghui (Celestia) on offense and Yvette on defense and have peaked High Nova (the purple rank) and I honestly think she is quite strong but debatably the hardest character in the game. The fact you have to manage two things (Fei and obviously Yvette herself) at once makes it extremely difficult and so is timing. You need to either time your ice to help the team contest the push/begin the retake or you use the bear to deny plant as long as possible to delay for rotates. Her gun is pretty crappy simply because its damage is super low which is why her ice vulnerability needs to be used and then you go (use Fei as cover or with Awakening 3 to constantly mess up their movement) if you yourself want to take a fight. Again to emphasize, timing is SOOOOOOOOOO important because people can just rotate especially since Fragranz came out. Awakening is also dependent on the map but I personally like A3 more since it makes it easier to use aggressively while being able to deny plant automatically. Also, Yvette is pretty good for retakes by icing areas your team needs to fight. Her ult is super strong but also hard as hell to place so you usually just use it at the main choke as they're pushing or for retake, the range for putting it down is pretty bad and it has delay when you put it down from what I've noticed. (For example, if you are jiggle peaking to put her ult, even if you timing it properly a good amount of the time you will accidentally have you ult get stuck the wall you are jiggling at rather than where you were aiming it) Sidenote - NEVER USE FEI AS ONLY A DRONE. See is more as a tool for retakes or to deny push because Yvette's cooldown is abysmally long and waiting the full 50-ish seconds because you used your bear to find out where they are and then just having it get shot away from site sucks ass. There are very few exceptions to this rule and the only exceptions I can think of are when you had already iced the area and need to get on the bear for half a second to see if enemies are near it. TLDR Yvette is good imho but her skill ceiling is SOOOOO high and the fact enemies can rotate quickly (especially with Fragranz) makes the timings so difficult that I would not blame anyone for thinking she sucks at first.
i personaly use it by waiting in some open space and burst one guy and go out or use the bear to make a pseudo baricade to tank since you can shoot trough the bear
In all honesty I concur. Some people say she is good at stopping a push but she is easily countered. Don't get me wrong just like all the other characters she can be monstrous when used right. It is just if she gets found by a flanker like Bai Mo or Galatea she's fucked. rendering her usefulness obsolete.
