Finally after months of negotiations, I managed to get my friend 3G to get his RX135 for this video. Wow! What a tastefully modified motorcycle. Hope you enjoy watching this short video on the RX135. Cheers!

Thanks Bosky for invoking nostalgia and rekindling fond memories of my yesteryears with RX 100 , the most delightful bike I owned. Still yearning for this machine which unfortunately is extinct . Always wonder why Yamaha hasn't introduced ( RX 100 lookalike) SR 250, 350, CC bikes which can adequately replicate the attributes of RX . ❤

What an exhaust. A showstopper , KTM also using the design in new 390, 250s. Probably has a patented air flow like old generation higher capacity bikes.

This is the same paradox I have with my Rx 135-5 Speed, every part has been replaced other than the chassis, exhaust (cat con), front fork, handlebar, tank and gearbox / crankcase. So, when I ride it, I always wonder if its the same bike that I got out of the showroom. What do you think Bosky?

it has bigger tank capacity and has 135 CC meanwhile rx 100 has 98 CC

The side panels' monograms are fixed incorrectly. Left side monogram is fixed on the right side panel and vice versa

I bought a 135 and it had problems,company changed the piston rings for free in those days because they had problems....sold it soon after as it sucked.

Why Does everyone in comments saying this is waking up old memories i'm little bit confused cause i still see lots of rx here in tamil nadu and i still drive a rx135 and clocking 5000 to 6000 kms monthly and even in my college there will be minimum of 200 to 250 rxs please enlight me is it became rare in other states?

I hear that RX135 with 5 speed gearbox had good topspeed but acceleration was affected compared to 4 speed version. Is it true? Or just a rumour?
Mikuni carbs were really popular in old times even yamaha fz16 had those in 2008 and Triumph Speed Triple also had mikuni carbs before they switched to FI in 2000.
That's likely due to installation of catalytic converter.
Can we fix and run 5 speed Rx 135 engine in RX 100 body?
