The Type 35 was decent, though it did have a tendency to lose the back end over the longer corners, and it was just meh offroad, since it only had rally tyres in comparison to the off-road races that Alex used. Anyways, it's been an honour to be part of the first VSTC in FH5, hopefully I'll be able to pop up in some more future ones. c:
It was an honor to be apart of the first vs the community in Forza horizon 5 :D although for future events i think there should be more restrictions on what tyres can be used to keep the events more competitive, apart from that great racing to everyone involved and will always be signing up for more!
Love these kind of events EDIT: Spoiler below Corsa living up to its UK name, never as fast as the guy driving reckons it is Never mind Alex, there's next time.
16:45 "Ninetales vehicle doesn't quite seem to be working" *straightens up and accelerates out of the solar system* "Okay that's a ridiculous power car"
I agree that limiting the tire choices somewhat might have made the races as a whole more competitive. I would also suggest try to vary the tracks used.
This was great racing, if not amazing results wise for Alex. Personally I feel that the Corsa was over-geared as it fell on it's face in sixth, maybe closer ratios would have been better for competitiveness
I normally like these events, but I’m not a fan of spread out running like this one ended up. So, maybe narrow the selections a lot more? Also. Maybe letting us in on everyone’s build would not only help the understanding of how the racing goes, but will give us all more ideas on how to setup and tune our own cars? But, thanks as always for the great content.
@@yspegel I didn't tune mines I ended up downloading a rwd tune since I did struggle w it myself but once tuned well it will put good laps on tarmac at least haven't tried dirt
The only car person youtuber that actually uses a variety of cars and different drivetrains in Forza and other racing games. Reason why I subscribed to you back in the Forza horizon 3 days. Tired of seeing drift this and RWD swap this and blah blah blah. Thank you Fail Race for being different. Love these games for racing. Drifting is cool and all but not for me.
After you missed the checkpoint in the final race, I looked to see how the flag was positioned and noticed that it is on the yellow curb along the edge of the sidewalk/footpath, and that spot is the only place where the sidewalk/footpath is wide enough for a car to get completely on it and miss the flag. So as long as you have at least two wheels on the actual street surface you'll hit the checkpoint.
The opel is as predictible as i thought it be , a bit grippy but as soon as you push it a bit,it oversteers you into a wall. Also it ain't that fast . It's a jack of all trades, average at everything but good at neither ,also a bit on the heavy side
Alex, have you thought about doing a race similar to your "Chase the Lotus" race you put on in FH4? I just had that one recommended to me by YT and I think another manufacturer choice could put on quite good races!
Off-road race tires are good off-road but in asphalt they don't have much grip at all that's why you have now PI to work with Rally Tires are still the best all-round tires
Click See More for spoilers on my end My BMW Isetta was TERRIBLE. I DNF'd in last place in all 5 races making this the worst vs the community performance by anyone ever. I had originally planned to run drag tires but in vs the community drag tires were banned in FH4 so I thought I'd be safe and go with street tires. The acceleration was amazing and so was the front grip. Problem is the rear end had basically no grip so it was like a drift car. It's so slow that I bet even a C class car could beat it around some tracks. I have now fixed the tune to be usable without any sliding but my brave choice did not pay off in the slightest. It also didn't help that because I'm on PC my game will lag a lot during multiplayer both network and FPS wise.
Using stock tires and putting the PI into more power/speed is much more effective in lower classes than it was in Horizon 4. I suspect if you just changed your tires you'd be up toward the top.
I have noticed the walls kicking the rear end of your car up on some cars. Not really sure what factor causes it but some cars are really prone to it and others less so.
Until they sort the team event thing out, why not sort the teams and then have them all painted red or blue, so we viewers have a handy visual reference?
🧐Failrace often does better and normally has a more competitive car. ♻ There does seem to be some benefit to swing the butt out when too deep or fast in corners, instead of booping the wall. 🩹 To me, (at this speed level), it seems more difficult to justify such grippy tires (opinion) instead of an all-season street tire and all-wheel drive. 📐 Benefit might also be found really topping out the gear to the tracks too (probably in-between race work) to keep the revs always high. 💪 If I was rambling, I could (maybe I will) say that to personalize the suspension could help some, (for instance), keep a high suspension, but also make it stiff, you really wouldn't be so concerned with ride quality. 🧩 Then again, it really depends on the tracks too. 🌤 💡🎨Is there another racing person/channel that has this much variety, I am liking this kind of stuff❓❗
Im curious what you lot think of FH5 now that you've had some time to play it. From a spectator perspective, the racing in these combined track races is less exciting than it was in FH4. Might it be worth considering doing all tarmac dominated tracks one week, and then offroad dominated tracks the next week? You could choose a mix of high speed and cornering performance tracks, and it might tighten up the competition, making for better viewing. Overall, at this stage FH5 is _not_ as much fun to watch as the FH4 team adventures were.
hmm, am I missing something or is it "gentlemen's agreement" that VTEC is not chosen? It seems to be an great engine in forzas. Civics/integras housing the engine is also a good car to choose for B class, yet none chose them.
You guys should just separate the street and dirt racing, it clearly causes the cars to be unfairly matched most of the time. That or force everyone to use the same tires.
16:06 Lol the ShadowRush went off the road and did the windows shutdown horn sound. Comedy genius.
It's my signature thing to do in Forza Horizon.

I got it from wheel spin, didn't drive it yet, let's put that to the test!

I'm surprised not seeing any OP "drag tire class-downgrade" strat. It's pretty fun offroad.
Drag and drift tyres are banned for the community events, that's why no one uses them.
@@coffeeaddict8712 Ow, ok, ty, didn't know that. What a shame.
Would you go back to FH4 for some game modes? This game still feels like it isn't finished.
Going forward, limiting tyre selection to 2 or 3 compounds might close up the racing.....
Should probably not allow the extreme (slick and offroad) tires to even out the racing a bit, this wasn't ever really an issue in FH4
What you think about a 500 Horses cup?
So, your car tuned to 500HP then anything goes whilst being within a certain class
Almost forgot to watch this one thankfully it was almost
2 L or smaller engines? So the three rotors then. Sounds good to me!
I hate checkpoints! When they're inconvenient XD /s
Using stock tires and putting the PI into more power/speed is much more effective in lower classes than it was in Horizon 4. I suspect if you just changed your tires you'd be up toward the top.
I think you need to be more strict in terms if tire compounds, fix a tyre compound but let the width be open. should get a good mix then

Honestly, b class fwd. is not great. It can be good however, in most cases fed is only good in C class. Any further and it begins to get weak.
I blame the Peugeot. Never trust French built cars unless they have D S on them.
