Who is to blame? The old saying goes "A FOOL and THEIR MONEY are soon parted!".... I think the answer speaks for itself...
People really just need to take some accountability and responsibility for what they do.
Ultimately it comes down to "a fool and his money are easily parted." Does Amouranth share blame for exploiting men's feelings of loneliness and generally being manipulative? Sure. Does society share blame for shaping the incentive structure where people no longer try to date in person and resort to easy but unfulfilling substitutes to relationships? Sure. But nobody's putting a gun to these guy's heads to give their money to Amouranth. They can choose not to do it. And if they continue to choose simpery after everything she's done, that's on them.
Sure its on them. But there are always vulnerable people waiting to be exploited. Should we just let it happen? Why can't we try to protect the simps from financial exploitation? After all, there will always be simps

This whole situation reminds me just how pervasive and inescapable the Pareto Principle (80% of desirable outcomes come from 20% of causes, adjustable to 99% and 1% and so on) is. Thousands of Amouranth fans have the dream, but Amouranth is the only one that lives the dream. If God actually came up with the Pareto Principle, I would reconvert to Christianity.
