Guys............I got a question....Why would a GMC Sierra "C" shape DRL design be designed for a Chevy Silverado? The 07-13 GMC Sierra is just as popular, yet no talk of launching a version for the Sierra. The silverado has a straight DRL with a slight flare up to the fender. Was this a TRS and Morimoto collaboration?
My thoughts exactly. Save the C for the Sierra. Silverados need a split level light. That is the only reason I'm not buying these for my Silverado is because I don't want it to look like it has GMC lights.
We are working hard at getting out as many XB headlights as we can, we appreciate your feedback, the more we hear about the need for more headlights the better.
For the most part I like them, minus the “LED” stamp and the amber side marker. Would be nice to have the option to have the side marker white instead of amber.
Some jurisdictions require Amber up front for side markers, We do our best to make things as cool and unique as possible while also maintaining a street legal status.
TheRetrofitSource Inc that’s why it would be awesome to have the option available for those who are not required to have the amber marker. Options are never a bad thing right?
What will you do/have you done about the inside paint melting? I’m getting a pair today but I just watched a review of someone having this issue. I don’t want to install these and have to redo it. Especially after paying $900. It almost changes my mind about them
I have these lights on my truck and just noticed the paint melt today too. Pretty disappointed especially when I was expecting these to be of very good quality from Morimoto.
Think I may send them back. I was expecting them to comment back but nothing. I’m sure mine will have the same problem and I’m not going to get screwed out of $900
I own a 2012 Silverado with the complete chrome front end. Are y'all by any chance gonna be making another set to match the chrome front end. These are amazing headlights but wouldn't match with the chrome.
I think u need to make one exactly like that one or like the new 2020 headlights and let me know as soon as u do I have a 13 duramax with 65k invested and will pre order them right now and be a Ginny pig for it
We've been in business since 2005...if we were an eBay shop, yeah, you should worry about your warranty coverage. We're not going anywhere, and taking care of our customers is and always has been a high priority for us.
Really wish you didn't make GMC style headlights for a Silverado. The split level light is signature Silverado and you went with the "C" that GMC has been using. 🤔👎

Bad ass lights. But a really gross design. They Look like the newer GMC headlights. Should have kept the double pockets or something similar in each headlight. Heck even a quad led setup like you guys did with f150 lights would have been better looking.
Matt, How do the drl's perform on a bright sunny day compared to factory drl's? Like the factory GMC Sierra of this C design. Thanks for putting in a word with the boss.
@@RetrofitSource Might just be the camera and video but I was just expecting brighter. Obviously not HID bright but I've got a set of Morimoto LEDs in my high beam and they look brighter than the vid.
I’ve had mine installed for a few weeks now. They are much brighter than factory. They are so bright I am unable to film with my phone. I had to use my Sony and mess with the exposure. I had buyers remorse after I purchased them until I actually got them installed. I have no regrets

Do they come with LEDs or do you have to purchase your own set that fits the housing? How long do LEDs last? ive only ever used HIDs.
Leds are built into the projectors so no extra leds needed. Leds have a long lifespan.

I’m in love but $900 is a bit steep for headlights for me. Mine work just fine, although those do look mint. Maybe one day haha

These are a sealed unit with a 5 year warranty.
Would be awesome if trs would make them for The avalanche, Tahoe, and suburbans, for the same years shouldn't be hard almost the exact same light.

Can the fuse tap be used on the DRL fuse circuit on the truck instead of the ignition fuse? I think either fuse 32 or 34?
Yes you can use that spot also.

It says you can either do sequential turn signal or regular turn signal. What is the wiring difference when doing each of those?
All you have to do to turn off sequential is pull 1 plug out.

Are the amber markers on the side wired in or can they easily be changed to white? I like to delete all amber.
They're wired in, so to changed them you'd have to open the headlight and wire in white LEDs.

The turn signals are built into the headlights now, and the connector that powers them is built in - so nothing is left unused/compromised
