    I think his campaign works best with Black Pyramid end game crisis. You have your short campaign duel with Kairos and then gear up and work your way to the Pyramid for final showdown. Its nice, cool and thematic for Loremaster to smack bird demon of magic and then discover the secrets of Nagash.

    If you don't befriend Tiktaq'to, he becomes a major threat in this campaign. But if you do become allied with him, then yeah this is better for a short campaign.

    To be honest it is kinda sad to see Sarth go from an endgame boss in wh1 and was prominently shown in the Total War: Warhammer reveal cinematic trailer to not only a generic lord, but a "start battle" lord that is designed to loose on the very first turn to new players. I wonder how the Advisor feels about his old boss.

    +5 recruit rank for archmages means you can get net of amyntok or fire weapons
    One way to go is turn one recruit an archmage get upgraded net of amyntok on her then boost archers (ranged first then melee) then loose, darken the skies. Give that archmage ytour army and max out archers
    Meanwhile Teclis focuses on magic.
    In a way this means your legendary lord is secondary to a generic lord since you actually want the archmage to level up as fast as possible until darken the skies
    Technically you can have Teclis learn net of amyntok and take a fire archmage instead for more damage output on your archers but it will require more levels put into magic on a lord meant to maximise army boosts.

    Just had fun with this campaign. Ignored the skaven faction for awhile and just hit and ran Tzeentch until Oxy wiped him up. Then fucked off to the little almost hidden islands below Cathay where Tor Elasor is and conquered them. Sailed into cathay and took out Felheart. Eventually took Kugaths islands while Teclis was fucking around in Lustria. Its just a fun odd little campaign where you can sail around and establish these little provinces completely seperated from each other since its so easy to make allies with Teclis and establish outposts nestled deep in friendly territory.

    Telcos is one of the easiest campaign in immortal empire for me. Just follow my steps.
    1. Destroy Sarthorael.
    2. don’t befriend with yellow frog above you, because Tiktaq’to hates it and will declare war on you.
    3. Build Army with 4 spearmen and mass archers.
    4. Destroy Skaven above you. Now you will have 2 provinces. No need to worry about Kairos, he still getting gangbanged by Oxyotyl and Nurgle.
    5. Now you should have discovered Tiktaq’to and Kroq-Gar. Go Lick their scaly tails.
    6. Set sails, land on the rightmost of chaos waste, and start slaughtering demons along the way, until you kiss Oxyotyl.
    7. All your provinces in this south land are secured now, therefore it’s time to travel to spread Democracy and fight Dictatorship around the world.

    @ktvindicare Рік тому +4

    I think it's a total waste to have Teclis' campaign only be interesting for the early goings. And I agree that it is, his start position is TERRIBLE for a longer campaign, not because it's difficult but because it's boring. There's no one else other than the demons to worry about, and in every direction you look, there's very few places to expand to because to the south it's all red territory and to the north it's red desert with only a few jungles to travel to. Your best place to expand to with a significant amount of green territory is all the way over in Lustria which means you need to spend numerous turns ferrying armies over the sea to attack, again, Lizardmen who wouldn't be hostile toward you anyway.
    It's really lame and the campaign isn't worth playing more than once for this reason. It's completely unpolished once Kyros is dead, offering you nothing you can't get from another High Elf faction except the fact that you get to use Teclis.

    • @SereglothIV
      @SereglothIV Рік тому +1

      When you do one of his quest battles, you discover Caledor and due to high elves' espionage, the rest of the Ulthuan shortly after. You can confederate and have plenty of pleasant climate there. But I think the frozen climate in Naggaroth is unpleasant for him, at least it was in WH2.

    • @ktvindicare
      @ktvindicare Рік тому

      @@SereglothIV Yea you discover them via the Sword of Teclis quest, but it takes a LONG time and is very boring to expand via confederation that way, especially if Tyrion conquers Caledor like he usually does, then it becomes even more difficult to confederate up there because Tyrion will have a stronger balance of power over you because your own location has such limited expansion and growth options.

    • @TheCabarro

      Well, Teclis has somewhat different objectives now, he has the goal of conquer/confederate the elven colonies, which can make for an interesting an diverse game from the Ulthuan elves. The reality of the "abandon your starting province and go hunt down Kairos" play is you lose your capital to a rebellion by turn 9, lose your port to the tzeentch faction you left behind shortly after, the settlement you took from Kairos rebels in 1 turn giving you another enemy and Kairos will have a full army of much better troops whereas you'll only have half an army because you can't recruit shit while you're at sea or in the chaos wastes. Kairos will also kill Nurgle before it's physically possible to get to his first settlement. Terrible strategy.

    SFO teclis is very fun but i will agree with you vanilla teclis doesnt offer anything to keep plaing him after you pacify the southlands. maybe if you have tomb kings crisis on but every game i found bretonia, empire and lizardmen factions always curb stomp ai tomb kings and when the crisis happens they loose a few settlemnts but take them back after a few turns so the dont really need you. If they added a new mechanic to him and made the lizardmen factions north of him to not start with and instant 20 plus relations with teclis hed probably be top 5 campaigns for me because i enjoy him in game and lore wise so much but CA just missed the ball with him

    Also the suitable climates for Teclis are as much of a disgrace as Tyrion's. Compared to Eltharion (who gets barren wasteland plus all the HE naturals), or better yet, Imrik (who also gets mountain), you soon find yourself limited to sth like 10 suitable provinces, with the deserts of Nehekhara being uninhabitable to the North, and the chaos wastes to the south. Super boring and annoying having to deal with that.
    Also, why on earth do HE not like temperate climate??

    I agree with the shorter campaign but not because the lack of mechanics tho that is a valid point. I keep them short because if you want to keep expanding his empire runs only into red and yellow climates once you have cleared the southern half of the badlands. After that you have to go to lustria the islands or ulthuon just for a green climate and that is incredibly annoying to me. I want them to change the climate system so badly because in red or yellow climate it takes 10 turns to build providence building because they already take 3-5 turns now with the new building changes

      I get that it might not be an ideal solution because it's not an official part of the game but there are mods that can alter or completely eliminate the climate mechanic.
