I see you got another one! Last year I got a thinline Haar with the same 72 Brandon pickup set and a bigsby! I agree, they are high output and beefy pickups. They get pretty snarly with dirt but are so sweet clean. They push my amps into break up way more than any other pickups. Yours sounds very similar to mine. What I love most about the Haar is the compound radius and feel of the neck. I have played with 9s all my life but playing 10s on the Haar is effortless. I think the Plek has something to do with this maybe too? Haar doesn't seem to have a very big presence online, which is surprising. Haar doesn't seem to be interested in the Instagram stuff or marketing in general. It's hard to find stuff. I first heard about them from a Paul Davids video. They are SO good.
And that sounds awesome! I actually lowered the pickups quite a bit since this video, much sweeter and less driven but still fat. The compound radius is also amazing, but I think it’s the 1.65” nut width in combination that makes it perfect. I am kind of thankful they are still not super hyped online so they’re still more affordable in comparison to other custom guitar makers… at least for now! I am super curious about Haar strats now…
@@ElliottKleinguitar Oh man, I didn’t even think about the nut width. That makes so much sense. When I play chords on mine it just seems to be more comfortable and better intonation than other guitars. And yeah, stop making videos about them because they’re such a good price point for what you get!
I think they are hard to come by. I love Haar strats and teles. In january if i stumble upon to a nice tele i 'll take it back with me. If you have some shops (except for the usual suspcts) where i can visit, please let me know.
They are a little hard to come by for sure. I just got lucky playing a few in-store (still haven’t played one of the strats) and took a chance buying online. Thankfully the quality assurance is high and return policies nowadays are solid
@@ElliottKleinguitar Yeah if i can't get one in shops, i think i'm gonna make a visit their place in IJsselstein. I played once in Amsterdam Dikman and really connected with that strat, still on my mind to this day, one of the best guitars i ever played.
@@sekoser it'll probably be worth checking the usual suspects, Dijkman, Fellowship of Acoustics, dutch-custom-shop.nl otherwise definitely a visit to their place indeed!
May I ask if you would prefer your PRS or this Tele? I also have a PRS CE22 with Imperial but I prefer Fender scale length and the look of fender style guitars :)
Which PRS? Between the 594 and the Haar I would pick the Haar, but I enjoy the 25.5” scale length and the larger body more. If it’s between the Silver Sky and this tele it depends on the day, but I like that the tele has a flatter radius
@@ElliottKleinguitar I mean your humbucker equipped PRS. It ist very close to my PRS and you have a similar musical style, just a million times better than me ;). Nice to hear that you like the tele so much :) .I also like my PRS CE22 but here in germany there are many Haar guitars on the used market. So it is very tempting, especially because they look gorgeous. The 72 Teles from Fender were dissapoiting, they sounded very dull compared to my PRS.
@@bernbur-7134 The CE22 is a great guitar I'm sure, PRS are great! I found with Fender one really has to try a bunch of guitars to find the "magic" one. Not my favorite thing to do as it seems lazy on their part, so I haven't bought anything from them in years. I'm really curious to try a thinline HH Haar tele one day, although those seem to be quite rare. It's too bad Hansen or Iconic or Atkin guitars cost so much! If Musik Produktiv or gregsguitars have a good return policy I would highly recommend trying a Haar one day :)
@@ElliottKleinguitar I have a Fender American Original 60 Strat with upgraded ss frets and recently bought a Suhr Classic S. Unfortunately the Suhr has to go, the Fender feels better in my hands :). But I agree, I had Fenders that weren´t worth their price. I´ll let you know if I buy a Haar tele
Been loving these Haar Guitars since moving to the Netherlands 🇳🇱! If you can find one anywhere I would highly recommend trying it out!
It really has it's own voice. Very full, but still hi-fi.
It’s not really a half-full or half-empty scenario, this one is just completely full voiced

Please do! Whats the neck like on your fender?
I'd say i'm split down the middle with liking older vintage and more modern specs, can be a real bitch sometimes haha.
Haha thankfully there are more and more companies that make guitars for players like us
