He has always been political, from going at bill Clinton to Donald Trump.
He went at the American government in the song White America in 2002. He also talks about how being white affected him and how people treated him when he used to be the minority in the hood, but then because famous.
You should react to that song next for sure

Exactly right. Eminem has been political since the start of his career. Personally I've never gotten into his political views prior to the recent years of him going after Trump as I've just been too young to understand.
One thing I wish is for people to agree to disagree when it comes to political views. I don't agree with Eminem's views on Trump, but I absolutely love his music and I'm not about to stop listening just because of it.

I completely agree on the fact of everyone being anti massacre obviously and I would say 99% of pro-gun people are. most issues that pro-gun people face is the constant push in from government on gun control and gun rights. which is not a bad thing at all other then most gun policies being put out these days are pointless and definetly not helping stop any massacres. gun control AND gun freedom are both political lures to one party or the other. most pro-gun people(unless extremely radical and crazy) are just afraid of the government gaining enough control to possibly take away amendments or make them obsolete. stopping massacres is an extremely difficult task... the weapons and creations are there for mankind to do whatever damage he wants with and mankind will always find what they need to complete their dreams. wether it is government over people. or people over people in a massacre sense. its sad but what is the solution?

@@gdmjs I agree, no matter what laws are passed (and I am legal owner with a concealed carry permit) it is never going to stop the wacko that wants to obliterate large groups of people. Mentally ill people don't always seek treatment so they often go undetected until it is too late. It is unsettling how "normal" completely abnormal people can seem. Stricter gun laws don't seem to be a solution because you can't put the toothpaste back into the tube. There is already too much out there and law-abiding people are going to follow the law - what about the criminals that have or want guns? They seem to find a way of getting them. Also, if someone wants to wreak havoc, they will find a way - such as bombing, etc. Why these things happen with such alarming frequency is a mystery to me. When I was in school, people has fights and rarely was a pocket knife even pulled out - but I don't think it ever occurred to anyone to go shoot up the school. What as a society have we done to create this? I don't know...

You nailed it right on the head with the fact most people that go crazy and commit extreme levels of crime never showed any signs of being abnormal until that moment. So there is no way of screening them out or having a law to withhold weapons from such people, and even if we did then like you said the news headline will still have mass murder at the top only followed by use of a bomb or something else… and man I can’t understand for the life of me why it is happening so much more now… I always use to think that it is happening at the same rate as always but now it’s more publicized and easier for us to see via media, but now i don’t know… almost like the mentality of everyone has changed so much. @grogu411 3 роки тому +1

It reflects how things are yes but it’s coming from the point of view from somebody who wants more gun control. Which we don’t need. Most people are not educated in this subject. I haven’t done my research on this in awhile but I think it was almost 40 thousand people were killed by guns in 2019.sounds bad right? But the facts are more than 2 million lives are saved each year by guns. And that means they were saved either by defending themselves by using the gun or just simply by showing a gun and then the threat runs away. Guns are already hard to get. Ban guns and then you’ll have a much bigger problem with illegal guns. Take away assault rifles and make it to where law abiding citizens can’t buy them and you’ll just have criminals buying them illegally just like they do now. The back ground check isn’t easy to pass. The naive people act like you can just walk in a buy a gun but you can’t. Still a great song tho.

Not really though? Chances are nobody here (or very few) have ever been directly impacted by gun violence within the United States. It’s definitely a mountain/molehill situation that really isn’t as problematic as it’s painted to be.
20,000 (roughly) people died as a product of gun violence in 2020, and 2020 was a “record year” for gun-related deaths within the US. 3.35M people died in the US in 2020 - for all reasons - which means less than 1% of people that died TOTAL within the US in 2020 were victims of gun-related deaths.
      .59% to be more specific.
How about out of of the entire US population? All 331,449,000 people?
.006% of people within the US were killed by gun-related violence. That’s 6 thousandths of a single percentage of the entire population of the country.
The chances of winning the lottery in the US? .007%
This means that you statistically have a better chance of winning the lottery than you do at being killed by gun-related violence in America - even when it’s a “record breaking” year.
Gun-related violence doesn’t even make the (top 10) US killer list. Heart disease (being fat) is #1 - directly responsible for 33 times as many deaths in 2020.
So when people state that this is “a problem”, I have to ask:
      Compared to what exactly?

I’m not from the US either but I fully support the right to have firearms, the vast majority of gun owners are responsible and use common sense and good practices to prevent bad situations from occurring!
Someone who has the mindset of causing harm to others doesn’t need a gun to do it, it could be just as easily be a vehicle used to inflict harm or any other everyday item.
The root cause of the problem is what needs to be addressed; what’s causing these people to have the desire to lash out against innocent people in the first place?
Is it because guns are legal? If anyone is saying that’s the case and they think guns should be illegal as a result are basically saying that they can be put in the bracket of potentially wanting to go out and kill random people as a form of protest against gun ownership!
It would be absolute insanity to suggest that!
People who go out with the intention of harming others have internal issues that haven’t been addressed or dealt with and these issues likely stem from an upbringing that wasn’t ideal, lacked the love and direction of caring people, had no positive role models to teach them how to manage their mental and emotional states, which in turn leads them to feeling frustrated, lonely, afraid etc., without help how can we expect these people to make good choices in life?
Firearms are simply tools like vehicles, knives, hammers or anything else and can be used for positive or negative depending on the intent of the user, to remove the right to own them from people for any reason is to remove that individuals free will to choose for themselves.
This action is a slippery slope, there is always someone who thinks something is dangerous based on their own subjective perspective, is that reason enough to give that person the right to choose on your behalf what’s right for you?
Removals of freedom to choose should never be acceptable, it’s all well and good supporting those decisions when it’s something you’re in favour of but what happens when it’s something you disagree with, how far is too far?
When we start letting someone/something outside of our own internal faculties make decisions on our behalf we are no longer free, if you love freedom and support the concept then you must respect the freedom of every individual and support their right to choose for themselves!
Our energies would be better spent trying to improve the situations of all people so that these incidents are not such a prevalent aspect of our societal structure!

Its such a good song and video and he tells it so good.. I get goosebumps every time. This is the third or forth time I've seen it and its still so good. There are so many doubles in this.. Its just a great song..
Probably the biggest reason people hate Eminem is because he did a cypher freestyle going against Trump.. Im not going to say to much about it Incase your going to react to it. He lost so many followers after that... And for some just like the old Eminem cause he didn't give a f.. He thinks abit more of what he is saying and had become abit more political. There is multiple reasons why people like the new Em or hate the old Em.

People don't like him because of his character, just because someone is a lyrical genius doesn't mean they are good. I don't see any Innovation In his music, It's not that he is a good Lyricist or anything but in today's society people are in it for the music and not for the lyrics. Just the political system trying to tell you what music is good, For example lil nas x, The music is garbage but They push it so hardTo make it viral. Eminem is just so disconnected With his Younger audience, And the Older population grew up with him that even if his music is trash they are still going to support him.

Ppl who say he fell off, or doesn't "have it" anymore are just mad he doesn't rhyme about killing/raping ppl, popping pills, etc etc anymore, or as much. He's almost 50 and still more appealing than 90% of other rappers today. He's grown but still a juggernaut.

  • @AnubisVoid
    @AnubisVoid 3 роки тому +1

Its not even about politics, Eminem has had very influential political songs throughout his history most famously being "Mosh" or "White America"...the secret service even approached him about MOSH, people dont like new em because they say all he does is "Rap Fast" which is false because from his projects most of the songs don't use the double-time flow,...the real reason is that Eminem now focuses more on lyricism and proving his caliber as a top tier rapper and at times the sound of the song suffers whereas in the past his songs where more digestible for basic mainstream consumption.
The funny part is, is that Eminem continues to break records and numbers, so the complainers are simply a loud minority. He's been the highest-selling Rapper for the past 3 decades and even now in the streaming era he's one of the few or only Legend acts that compete at the top of the boards with the Younger Top acts.

I still cant believe someone convinced you that Em fell off. the reason why people don't like new Eminem is the last few albums were woke. He talks about this on Music to be murdered by, referencing people saying he sucks cause of his content being weak, then releases kamikaze and people hating on him because he woke. If people are talking smack about the Music to be murdered by albums, it has to be because they cant catch the bars. Those two albums are so intricate and detailed they are truly amazing once you listen through a few times and catch all the schemes. Its crazy. Dude is still a lyrical genius. At this point when you listen to the last album, he's just messing with everyone cause hes bored.

Most of the hate was more because of his music and not the political stuff, some came from that, but the hate is disappearing after his last 3 albums because they had really good music and he started back attacking the ppl that would come at him . Relapse recovery mmlp2 and revival, were the albums most were hating because after the near death drug od experience em kinda really rebuilt his style and more of his wise side was showing, but now when people go back and listen they actually respect it more and most that say they hated it actually change their minds about it and think those albums are classics. Its kinda weird to me, I actually think ppl were disappointed because em started to get wiser and was sober and his music reflected it, ppl didn’t really give it a chance and now they are. But maybe cause I was getting wiser at the same time I always appreciated it. But it actually shows this is the truth, a lot of youtubers have been getting popular mainly because of Eminem reactions and are probably the most viewed rap reactions on the site.

New Eminem is the best rap ever. The lyrical skill, the wordplay.. Nobody comes close to Eminem's skill. I've been a fan since the Slim Shady CD, and I love new Eminem the best. His last two albums, Music To Be Murdered By side A and B are the best rap albums ever. I think anyone who doesn't like new Eminem probably just doesn't like having to think about all the double and triple entendres, but that's what I love most. Like this song for example, is an entire double entendre. His song Venom is an entire triple entendre. His song Alfred's Theme is bar heavy with every line being an entendre. The amount of skill it takes to be able to do that, and have a crazy flow, and make things rhyme, is just out of this world. He's an alien. A goat alien lol.

I’m so so glad you were able to catch the bars and his double entendres. And it’s so funny that he actually says double entendre in the song. You guys mention something half way through the video that I found striking. You couldn’t remember the details of the shooting. I don’t say this to diss you guys, what I’m saying is this: shootings are so common in America that a literal massacre that would be unforgettable in pretty much every other country in the western world is something you can’t even remember the details of. Surely that tells you all you need to know about how fucked the gun situation is over there.
Also, I was typing this as the video was playing and the girl said she didn’t like that it was political at the end. Two things about that: 1. The song is politically charged from the start and delivers a very powerful and important message about a very real problem in your country. I understand if you’d rather Em didn’t do politics in his songs but I’m struggling to see the problem in this particular instance. 2. If you don’t like politics in your music then that’s fine, I totally understand, but surely when it does come up and it’s something as important and as powerful as gun control (or lack of) in America then you’ve got to either give Em credit for it or disagree with him. This isn’t a subject where you can just gloss over it and say you wish it wasn’t political. If I misunderstood your point I apologise, there’s a good chance I misheard as I was typing out my comment when it came up. But if I heard right then o strongly disagree with what the lady is saying. Enjoyed the video though!

If there is an issue, and I'd say shootings are, society should work on a solution. Taking away all the guns or just leaving everything as it is both seem to be bad solutions at this point. But something needs to change and registering to vote to make your voice heard is one way to start.

Im all for ownership of weapons, I've owned them all my life, but to think your neighbour could have 100 military style weapons and 1000s of rounds at his disposal is unnerving in a way, if they just snap and wipe out your whole family, no one is gonna say, well he was just protecting themselves, thats the issue with the argument, people can't say they want weapon reform without people taking it as a ban on all weapons

Wow...ok I haven't listened to Em for the past 15 years maybe. Until a few days ago, I listened to Monster. Really enjoyed seeing how talented he still is. Now this song...just wow. Actually it was a great song. Im completely for Americans to have their right to have guns, that never will change for me. But him talking facts of that shooter who had a right to have his guns, but yeah he is mentality ill. Had to be to do what the shooter did in Vegas. I dunno what has to be done to stop this madness. But one thing I do know..this country does not take care of people who have mental issues. Period. That is something to bothers me. You have to have the best medical insurance to get the right help. There should be mental health clinics in ever single city. To get people the right help. That would stop at least half these shootings..maybe. I'm sorry for venting.
