Bless You G - I love your videos and the presentations !
Thanks!
The plant area is the old TraIn shed used until the High station was built in front of it. They like keep old station in Madrid, another one is the Madrid Railway Museum 15 min walk from athoc ( or a train ride)
Awesome thanks!
Hi G great video I’ve been on Renfe high speed train last year but took the Euromed from Alicante to Valencia on class 130 it was really nice ride
Sounds great!
Wow that train is so nice, I mean that catering area in coach C looks nicer than some actual cafes. And it all looks so luxury
With living near the costa del sol for the last 17 years, this train has been on my bucket list for so long. But I've just not had a reason to go to Madrid! Considering it takes 6 hours to drive it, that 2 and a half hours is just amazing!. Flying takes about 45 minutes, but with check in, and waiting around at the airport, there really isn't much in it.
Yeah true probably faster on the train 😂
God the views are just amazing!!! It's a shame we don''t have these trains as they're lush.
Certainly are!!
that train looks amazing & im liking the Spanish views from the train window as you pass on the train brilliant as always
Thanks Michael!
The flying duck 🦆 done u well G haha fantastic smooth ride and great views very relaxing journey great to Watch your Vblogs as always 🙂 👍
Thanks 👍👍
Doing some last minute research before my trip to Madrid tomorrow night. Making stops in Seville, Cadiz & Valencia so definitely hope to be a train pro by the time it’s over. Just hope I can at least buy a ticket for my 1st connection before I leave.
Great video! Those Class 102's look very nice on both the outside and the inside!
The scenery along the route out of the windows is stunning!
Thanks Reece!
Brilliant again G I’ve done this in reverse from Malaga to Madrid, Malaga is a great city - enjoy 😊
Cheers!
Very nice vlog G the views along that route look absolutely stunning
Thanks they were really spectacular!
Amazing train and amazing scenery. Wish we had trains like this in the uk!
Ye so relaxing!
Looks amazing. Madrid station is something else.
Great video traveling on those trains looks amazing 👍👍✅✅
Thanks!!
Absolutely amazing looking standard class, and probably better than first class on some trains in Britain
Yeah looked amazing!
Great Video G and the views of the scenery was stunning and the seating was impressive for 2nd class
Cheers!
6:54 In I think its a castle on the hill what a view from the train window
Brilliant Vlog G! They do look lovely trains those Class 102s,
Thanks Cyber!
3:07 this train notification brought a summery smile to my face
I've been on a few of these in the past week. Very comfortable and attractive. The Patos are splendid trains.
Thanks for the video G,get a suntan laying on the ducks nose until you flew off. Awesome countryside sooooo relaxed looking at you sooooo relaxed!!😎🚅🚅🚅🚅🇬🇧
Haha was very relaxing!
Nice video, nice rolling stock! Keep up the great work.
Thanks!
Geat video! That train looked so luxurious!
Thanks!
Another great train journey vlog G, them trains in Spain look good 👍
Thanks Sam!
Scenery looks lovely.
Beautiful!
just found your channel, nicely done a new viewer from SW Montana.....hopefully we will get back passenger service here soon on what used to be the North Coast Limited.....cmon Amtrak do it
I've never been to Spain. I planned to go on my last interrail trip in '92 but there'd been a big argument over money and Spain had pulled out of the scheme. The scenery looks amazing and that plant filled station is lovely. Great video!
Ah thanks!
Im doing my training for TFW ..... Your video may or may not have popped up in the training material 😂
Train companies are noticing you 😂❤
Haha as long as it wasn't one where I was twerking 😂. Na in all seriousness TfW are brilliant and super friendly! Good luck with your training 👍
Hi G great content thank you x
Thanks!
great video G
I did the same journey back in November 2022. I think it was two sets and one uncoupled in Cordoba. Anyway it took two and a half hours and I enjoyed every moment.
Great video G, fantastic price for your comfy seat & not forgetting the views.
Cheers!
Ooo wish I was traveling in Spain super !
Super duper!
Awesome Video G Loves Trains 😄😄
wow looked great train great journey and great price enjoy
Cheers!
Hi G, love your Spanish series of video blogs, A great price for the train ticket, you must have booked in advance.
Thanks and yes I did
Awesome video, Got to ride a Talgo Train. When are you coming to America, I would love to travel with you & Lucy?
These trains look lovely. So much better than UK trains. I must pay a visit to Spain again soon
You must!!
Brilliant video G, I'm not sure I want to know what the smell was lol. The plants at that station in Madrid do look beautiful. This route you've rode on does have some amazing views as well. :)
Haha I honestly don't know what the smell was 😂
It's quite tropical in there, even some ponds. The smell will probably be decay and humidity
Snottytastic videos from Spain ❤
Thanks Snotty Brigg!
The Renfe Ave trains are great and as with IRYO they could teach our train companies a thing or two about quality of swrvice. When i was in Spain last year with my fiancee we travelled on both IRYO and Renfe and the prices were i'm sure you agree G insanely good value.
I agree!
You really did get some stunning scenery on your journey, didn't you? Very impressive seating for standard class - almost like first on many of our own train services.
Yeah literally thought it was first!
@@GLovesTrains It looked really nice.
Thank you for the video. How many train stations provide bullet trains out of Madrid? It looks like there are more than one? I booked a bullet ride to Malaga for next week and hope to Uber to nearby Gava.
Ideal 👍
Still there
Nice review! Have taken the AVE (meaning high speed Spain) on the same route a few times and agree, it is great value for money, even standard class is comfy and clean. What strikes me is how smooth and quiet the train is compared to e.g. German ICEs which tend to rattle and being less smooth. With the AVE you look outside and think, we are not going that fast and then the screen shows something 280-310 kph, mind bending.
Haha true! Amazing looking standard class!
Tu manejo del idioma español es exquisito. 😎
Glad you think so 😀
I would be very interested to see you visit germany! Particularly munich, or hamburg
A Frecciarossa on a domestic spanish route. I associate frecciaarossa with Italy. And it looks the same.
Fantastic video:-) will you be doing the Malaga metro.
A friend of mine tells me that the green area in Madrid may be an old station.
Thanks and ye I will
Málaga metro is small, Málaga is not that big
Hello. Interesting review. We travel to Madrid frequently from Málaga. Always use Iryo. Is there much diference between the Renfre and Iryo.? you used Iryo from Barcelona
Hi, both Renfe and Iryo were brilliant, I'd happily ride either down! The ticket for this was a great price 👍
Very cool Spaniard Train, they don't have voice messages in English? It seems like an awesome trip anyway. Thanks for the ride!
They did announce in English as well 👍
@@GLovesTrains Alright, perfect 😊👍
Very duck like and I have seen pictures of similar duck billed high speed trains in Japan too.
The nose shape isn't for aerodynamics, it's something to do with the noise when entering tunnels at high speed.
Keeping the locals happy
How long is the journey, plus do you know if it's possible to get a train from Bilboa or Santander to Madrid, as my daughter hates flying
Yes Renfe run those routes 👍
Ahhh Malaga. That’s nice. Went there last autumn. Warm. Nice. Good food! Do you have time to stop and breathe in the atmosphere and eat good food in the sun, or is your trip just early mornings and as many trains as possible?
No haha just to start off it was, got to chill towards the end 👍
@@GLovesTrains Good! 👍🏼
Nice to see you on a train again
Will be interesting to follow you
The bad thing with Spanish rail network is that it doesn’t cover the country well and except for the speed trains are the services not very frequently
Thanks and not sure how often the in-between stations are served
YAY! Thanks for chosing Renfe (:..As these train are manufacter by Talgo How did you find the ride quality?(Some people like some dont) .A shame you did not mention these trains have no axels that a verry unique thing from Talgos plus both the 102/112 future 107 and 130 and 730 can till thanks to the Pendular sytem.Loking forward where you minght end up next time!
Thanks! I loved it
Hey train looks great . Doing same journey next week, so should be fun 😊
Enjoy!
😁😁😁👌
Whereas the high speed network gets all the government funds, the regional rail network and some suburban networks seem forgotten by the government, with many stations being served by just one or two trains a day and frequent delays. The other regional rail companies (managed by the regions’ governments) are of a much higher quality, such as FGC, FGV, SFM and Euskotren
Madrid is a beautiful city in Spain. Fabulous city I have to say. Will you be doing Faro and Gibraltar.
Maybe one day!
Ok 😊
That Ticket price is Incredibly good value for money considering the distance covered.
Sure is!
You should have a couple of weeks in Germany in the summer with the €49 countrywide ticket it’s valid on all regional trains local bIss trans and metros I’m sure you’d enjoy alps one day and Baltic coast the next lots to see with some amazing lines like the Schwartzwald railway and Sylt island railway
Wow sounds great!
Pretty sure I heard you say you had a 'knicker hook' above you on this trip but I'm a bit tired 😂 you ought to try comedy you have a knack for it, or a knicker knack maybe 😂 have a great weekend you and your friend !
Good quality and affordable high speed rail networks are the norm in Spain, France, Italy, Germany and the United Kingd...... oh wait, what's that? It's not going to Manchester? Or even the centre of London? No worries, at least the UK has "world beating" everything, especially since Brexshit. Or maybe not!
Doesn't look like the train was vey busy!
It depends on the hour/day of the week. Although there a lot of services between Madrid and Málaga they can get very busy.
Do you know much Spanish? The foreign language I'm best at is German, and I managed to successfully order food and drink in the bistro car in German on the ICE train. I travelled from Frankfurt to Berlin.
Awesome! I just learnt the basics
@@GLovesTrains I'm working towards A1 level in German
@@jackmellor5536- Ich kann ein bisschen Deutsch sprechen. Ich habe Deutsch gelernt für mein Abitur. Du musst in Schweizer Züge fahren!
The train in Spain stays mainly in the plain. Sorry...
European services put ours to shame
Tallyho G. Did you have vegan tapas?
I did and really enjoyed it 👍
... The debris on the floor by the seats, not good.
?
@@GLovesTrains 5 minutes 25 seconds mark...
The Spanish railway system puts ours to shame, better ticketing, better connectivity, faster and cheaper. Also you can get a seat as people respect the reservation system.
AVE MARIA
"Tetas blandas".... Please don't hate me for this bad translation.
The translation is correct as I had a Spanish person do them for me
@@GLovesTrains Ha ha I was apologising about MY translation.
@@MartySulls ohhh I see 😂
@@GLovesTrains 🤣
The value and quality makes UK trains look so poor
Especially the prices, which used to be even more expensive before the other high speed companies got into the market
Strange we in Britain can't provide a high class service like for that price that isn't it?-where does all that money go? Yeh right!
we did,
-we paid in to the eu for 40 years and it gave Spain the money via structural funds etc to build this system of high speed rail. that's how it was paid for, Spain didn't suddenly ,in 1991 ,come into billions of pesetas out of thin air. we (and France and Germany) paid up and Spain got the flashy railway because that was the deal in 1973 ie that the richer nations would subsidise the poorer ones and pay for them to upgrade.
-high class maybe, but objectively a failure thus far with passenger numbers now only around what they were supposed to be at two decades ago.
so in answer to your question, quite a lot of that money went into things like, for eg, Spanish high speed rail infrastructure. by definition every pound that leaves the uk and goes to someone else's coffers in one pound less for our infrastructure...
Compared to the UK that is a good deal by the way trains are on strike train drivers in the UK joke
Christ on a bike our infrastructure is 3rd world
Are you realizing now?
@@user-hq6hb2xv4n no - but the cancellation of almost all HS2 throws it into sharp relief
Great vlog love the holiday vlogs @glovestrains
