Good that you did that trip before the fires started. I assume with the wind they would have banned campfires. Luckily we don’t have the Santa Ana winds up here. When the waves were high we lost the end of the Santa Cruz Harbor.

Omg! It looks like a Jellystone Campground, which my family loves so much! If it isn’t Jellystone, y’all should check one of those out on another occasion. They have hiking, fishing, gemstone digging, golf, golf cart rental, and tons of all day activities to partake in with or without kids (pool, bball court, huge playground, character meetups, and more) Halloween is our favorite time to go! Check it out 😊
I have camped quite a few time actually because I’m part of scouts here in England!! So we do proper tents (literally on the floor covered by a tarp help up by trees) and sometimes even hammocks! The only part I don’t like is waking up and getting changed in the freezing cold 😅 but they are great memories and fun times when we do hikes and challenges!

We saw that clip on the news of the pier in Santa Cruz. That's pretty wild!
