Esta es la canción nominada al Oscar por la película de 1944 Rumbo a Oriente (Up in Arms) Música de Harold Arlen; Letra de Ted Koehler. Intérprete: Dinah Shore.
I've just realised the answer to my question: Harold Arlen. I should have realised. How I loved this song and Dinah's voice. She had buck teeth but she was beautiful with a glorious, warm voice. The best of her generation by far.
First time I hear this song, I fell in love with it 🎼 ❤ & I still love it to bits now ! The beautiful Dinah 🎙with her gentle & angelic voice absolutely sends me.. Love her in this movie & Danny Kaye is just pure class 👌..Grest post
Lyrics : I used to be bewildered, my outlook on life wasn't clear; Then, all at once, The mist seemed to disappear! Now I know Why I go Walking round in a wonderful glow; There's a lot That I'm not Conscious of' But this feeling must be love! Now I know Why it's so, Why I'm alive And I thrive On the thrill! (on the thrill) Here am I, Riding high On a hill, Far away from the usual drone, With a world of my own At my feet, All because fate was heavenly sweet To have planned that we meet! (that we meet) Never dreamed In my wildest dream That I'd fall so wholeheartedly! Now I know love is all that it's cracked up to be!

Outstanding song, singer and arrangement. Nominated in 1944 Oscars for Best Song.
She was so very special
This is a Harold Arlen song that hasn't maybe gone as far as it should, I've heard the Dinah Shore and Glenn Miller versions since the 1970s.
I think it was well known in the day. But, as with so many, probably got lost in time. Thankfully brought back here.
No singer in the world can do that except The Great Dinah.
Lyrics :
I used to be bewildered,
my outlook on life wasn't clear;
Then, all at once,
The mist seemed to disappear!
Now I know
Why I go
Walking round in a wonderful glow;
There's a lot
That I'm not
Conscious of'
But this feeling must be love!
Now I know
Why it's so,
Why I'm alive
And I thrive
On the thrill! (on the thrill)
Here am I,
Riding high
On a hill,
Far away from the usual drone,
With a world of my own
At my feet,
All because fate was heavenly sweet
To have planned that we meet! (that we meet)
Never dreamed
In my wildest dream
That I'd fall so wholeheartedly!
Now I know love is all that it's cracked up to be!
PS: I still am!
What's that clicking sound?
Now we both know
