Saw this ad during watching an unrelated video. I was "fortunate" in life to not fit into any commonly negatively discriminated group, being a straight white cis male, but I really enjoyed watching this. It has answered a lot of questions that I would be scared to ask my dear friends and furthered my understanding of the potential struggles they may face in day-to-day life. I think things like this break down down social barriers between us and bring us all together.
Thanks for the lovely comment, Luke. It's great to hear that you found this video useful. We believe that by discussing these issues openly, we can help bring everyone to a better place of understanding.
Hearing this, we need all the understanding of others or 'the other' , as presented by our media...... As s a London girl from a multicultural family....we neeeeeed more (and further), recognition of #Pride and #BlackCulture of our inclusive history aside from 'white, British culture'.
Did I watch the whole ad? Yes, yes I did. It was nice to see something new and interesting 💗 the marketing team behind this creative deserve a raise. x
This is such an interesting, relevant & informative ad, thank you to everyone involved. We do need more Kindness and Understanding. #TeamKind #KindFest2021 🙂
This video is amazing! We need this kind of content on a weekly if not DAILY basis! I don’t know anyone in the real world, other than close mates, who have these real world discussions!
This video was such a JOY to watch. Thank you Clara & Nick for this. I learnt a lot and agreed with everything !! I hope we all took a little something from this. Including the people who left comments before this one 💜
This popped up and I stayed watch ing then searched it on UA-cam to watch properly later - we should all talk about the elephant and free it (respectfully obv) thank you both so much for this it was great to watch and you explained things really well 🖤❤🧡💛💚💙💜🖤
Hair discrimination takes place when people of Colour who wear their natural hair out in afros and curls are told that their hair is ‘unprofessional’ or ‘unpresentable’ in the workplace or in school. In some ads, brands (Tresamme) have even described black peoples hair as “dry and dull”, whilst Caucasian/ straight hair is considered “silky and healthy”,
I love this! It's good to speak about these things. BUT I don't like the word queer as in the dictionary it means strange or odd and also as Homer Simpson said "that's the word we use for you guys 😂" Now let's talk about baldie discrimination . 😅
Interesting and informative, but I feel it does need to be recognised that not everyone within the LGBT+ community is happy to use the word queer. Plenty of us are still not comfortable with it, because of its history as a term of abuse.
Thanks for your comment, Caroline. It's really interesting how the meanings of words change in communities over time. What we wanted to show here was another perspective.
I feel like queer is something young people use openly and with pride, because there are so many ways of being LGBTIA+ and so many ways of expressing ones difference, that so long as there is no hate behind the word and it’s been completely repurposes to celebrate the difference it was once used to condemn, it has a very different and often helpful meaning. I understand how it could be difficult to shift the meaning for oneself, it took me a while to understand the difference between people who use language to support and encourage me, and people who use it in a way that want to wound and suppress. Hope your healing continues to go okay x
When I was little kid (early 2000) I only knew queer was a old fashion for feeling ill or sick, like the old word for gay was happy, I found it was kinda strange when people used queer as an insult
It's so interesting how the meanings of words change over time, isn't it? That's why we feel it's important to research these things, as well as ask members of that community for their perspectives
This is the 1st add that i ever fully watched and enjoy.
Lol same
Thank you so much! We're so pleased to hear you enjoyed it ❤
I actually clicked on this ad to watch it on the original channel. Lovely video. Thank you!

I wish Clara had explained the hair discrimination in a little more detail

Loved this ❤️
This is brilliant 👏🏾
I don't get the dislikes, just two people trying to understand each others way of life
Clara is lovely....
She is! We are so happy to have her and Nick involved.
Grimmy ❤
Grimmy and Clara are total legends!
