Whenever I hear this man singing, whatever time, whatever place, I have to stop and listen. Despite all the garbage hes had to endure during his lifetime for being black as well as gay- he gave and continues to give the world more moments of love and musical grace than any performer that I know. Well, Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, This Gentleman, Mr.JOHNNY MATHIS IS A LEGEND !! Such a God- Gifted Vocalist, a gentleman with a smooth distinctive, velvet voice, who has been entertaining the masses for over 50 yrs.He is celebrating 60 yrs, marking the debut of his first album. Any song that he covers, he makes it his own, and so beautiful and serene !! Chances Are( Pun intended😀😀) We will never experience a voice like or even similar to Mr.Mathis' s, yes, his voice is one of a kind.Thank you , Sir for sharing and continuing to share your gift, with the World, God Bless You✨✨✨✨

I fell in love with Johnny Mathis when I was 18 years old and living in a dormitory as a college student. This song, “Memories”, is from the movie, “The Way We Were”, with Barbra Streisand and Robert Redford. It is a great movie. And this is a beautiful, passionate song! Johnny Carson knew talent! I watch Carson reruns on cable channel, “ANTV” all the time.
Once again Johnny puts his mark of excellence on this beautiful song. Love this. Perfection at its best !!!!
My husband and I saw Johnny Mathis at the Resorts Casino And Hotel in Atlantic City, N.J. In the 1980’s. What a performance. He mesmerizes his audience! What a talented singer.

@singchef - i'd flip you for that sweater and turtleneck! If only. Don't you love how the Carson show always created such fabulous staging- backdrops- for Johnny's performances? Of course he'd look great singing with a plain background- but this one- even looks like shades of cream and 'tawny' brown. Yum. And oh, yeah, as i've said- his singing is just perfection.

I saw Johnny Mathis is concert last April 24th in Spokane, WA., he has not lost his appeal. His voice is a silky as ever. At 80, he is the most handsome guy in my book. He is a very inspiring man and he loves his fans as much as his fans love him. He is incredible, I pray he remains healthy and loving for more years. Thank you for sharing this beautiful song with us 19rebel57 . Johnny Mathis is a gift from heaven.

I love John, not for what he can give us, but for himself. I hope he decides to retire, take it easy, and play more golf. We have his CDs and videos. What's important to me is John, himself. Of course, if singing is what he wants to do, I hope he can do it. But not for me or anyone else. Just for him. I don't want anything from him. I just want him to feel loved. He knows how much I love him, even if he never sang another note, and he always will.

Johnny Carlson's favorite is Johnny Mathis. I have seen so many of Johnny's performance in his shows. Too bad Johnny Carlson is now gone, he would have been so proud of our Johnny. He died much too young, 79 years old.
Johnny CARSON (not Carlson) died, yes, at 79. There was a time in our history, not so very long ago in the grand scheme of things, when someone who lived to be 60 was very old. He lived to be nearly 80, and you say he died "much too young" because why? That is a very average age of decease for a male in a Western country. I agree that his death was a profound loss, but....he was an old man by every standard. He lived his life, left a profound legacy, and lives on in the memories of those who love him. Don't begrudge him his rest.
