A brilliant Silat instructor very detailed with his students.Absolutely awesome.
Good teacher like a treasure
Best part of my day watching this guy
Maul is the only person I've seen apologise to someone who hits him....😂.....sorry about that Ray 😂😎...... amazing weekend!!! I've been practicing every day 😎😊
I understand the mechanics of what Maul is teaching. I had done it onto others and it had been done onto me.....That being said, I don't want to be Ray the next day after they shot that vid. 🤣🤣🤣
7:57 is that your voice?
Would someone please clarify for me does Ray have bruises on his shins or is Maul redirecting the strike energy back into him what is happening here?
Maul is one of the very few worth learning from. A true Master, not only of the Art but of Teaching any art.
Very humble instructor and student.
Master maul really understands human body mechanics(biotensegrity). It is an Essence in internal martial arts, structure based. He even understands that we should put weight on the midfoot and not the heel in the fighting stance.
Big fan of Maul, I remember finding that first video he put up for his friend to DL of them doing the barong and knife stuff in the park years ago, and I've been trying my best to incorporate his methodology into my mish-mash of stuff I've learned over the years.
great and efficient Silat instructor. Nice to emulate
When you're the one being attack, but you are apologizing. 😆
Because it hurt the attacker more than it hurt him!
His Tips is very Useful for Everyone , really Love how he teaches & Explain .
Another PERFECT Demo!!!! I cant wait to experience this all first hand!!! What an amazing demonstration of Silat!!! You can bet I will be adding this to my personal training curriculum...
Online training is much more different than real in person training!
Maul is a very good teacher, and all the techniques he is demonstrating, are effective and for real life.
Too good
Thank you so much Maul. Will incorporate leg movements in daily exercises
Wow. That's a good tips for kickboxing, Muay Thai and MMA. The abilities to withstand the low kick are very important as I learned it first hand. I will incorporate that exercise. I guess MMA fighter can use this tips for countering the strike to the knees or thighs. I've seen a lot of MMA or kickboxer got taken out early from low kicks.
wait.. what practice?
Is it on 9:28 ?
@@vvindovvz4726 yes that part.
@@zuhailishufller8046 wow.. thanks bro..
Your right there was an mma fight on pay per view last month the guy hit the other guy with a leg kick the other guy did The technique Maul just demonstrated and the kicker broke his leg delivering a kick fight was over instantly!
@@navigatingel7215 ouch. I'm getting the Anderson Silva flashbacks.
Awesome! I'm going to incorporate this into my exercise routine. Thank you, Sir.
Excellent teacher! I’ll be trying these exercises for my knees and calves tomorrow.
Amazing Silat making use of the body structure..
Thanks again Maul
Great information, looking forward to see more of these videos, thank you for sharing with us this knowledge .
This silat its very similar whit my ninjutsu school
Good shit, got to be rooted!
Very nice video, he is giving away my secrets. Nicely done.
Excellent! He's very good with explanations and demonstrations.
I do this in Muay Thai if I am unable to check in time. I still lose points but a small shift into the strike often brings the knee or upper shin into their shin.
Strengthening your feet will help with that tension dispersement too. Most people don’t bother with that or even think about it.
Terbaik Guru Maul... 🙏🙏
Good thank you
Funny guy, the one with the beard😉
Thanks sifu🙏
it's CikGu :D
He told many secret in silat.... Don't use it for evil intention..other silat styles also got their secret that still not revealed such as fighting in blindfold😁😁
This is amazing... so do we breathe in the posture.. as we dip or turn.... I think that’s what I’m not understanding...the overall concept I see and it’s awesome. Just want to make sure I’m doing it right
"Imagine you have a 6 pack"
Oh yeah why should i want 6 when i have one big pack
Its called a "keg" lol
one big pack which is already bulletproof :D
I'm not an expert and I have never played one on TV but I think this is a good style.
Great!!!!
Maul Mornie.. pls come and have a seminar here in the Philippines..
Terima Kasih Cigku Maul. I am here just for the comment of the Keyboard Grandmaster !!!
7:48
other fellow: No Sorry, we love to see him pain..
Hopefully that exercise will help me develop my calves so they're big like Maul's!! ;)
heheh thats the way i like guru Maul. your not just a good teacher but your so funny too. pugay po.
Thanks for Petua Guru Maul!..😊😘👍
tinggi betul ilmu persilatan Mahaguru Maul segala rahsia silat diberitahunya....Terima Kasih Mahaguru Maul jasa baik Mahaguru akan kami (para pengikut setia Mahaguru DI UA-cam) hargai
hi, could you make short two videos. Video 1, the exercise or drill. Video 2, show how to use in combat. tnx EdA
Great, know your limit not try to take more than you can.
Anyway I can discuss about this training
I have trained with people like this. It is both Awl inspiring and irritating all at the same time.
Does jump rope help as an exercise for resting on the ball of ur feet?
❤️
How do you defend from an upper cut?
I've been watching these videos for a while now and I've had two knee surgery would be possible for a 39 yroldmale to learn
9:09
How does he "give the pain"?
he's teaching how to check kicks.
yey
Great tips on defending the kicks. Two questions, have you ever competed in MMA? if so where and when? and why are your guards down by your waist, leaving your face wide open?
Survivalist Nomad why all martial art need to compete in MMA? Its only for self defence..
@@mattsmith111991 Good luck.
@@mattsmith111991 Good luck.
@@survivalistnomad9507 silat uses baiting tactics. Opponent sees it as an opening but it's a trap.. it's a high level skill and you need to understand positioning, psychology and timing to actually pull it off.
Survivalist Nomad MMA is a sport in a controlled environment with rules. Silat is self defense with lethal concepts and consequences. The mindset is very different.
With this knee technique I don't think Jon Jones sneaky low kicks will hurt any fighter's knee any more.
i dont get how the ray is hurting from kicking maul s leg
For one, it's a leg, there's a difference between comparing kicking a human chest/torso and kicking a human leg or a arm.
When you kick, you don't only do damage to the person, you also damage your own leg, while you won't exactly break your leg, but you will feel pain, of course, your opponent will feel more pain than you do unless he trained to get hit. AND the damage you leg receive when kicking the size of a human leg will be more compare to kicking a human body/torso as the damage will spread out more rather than focusing in one place.
Would you rather be hit 100 times in leg with a stick or 100 times all over your body except the more fragile area such as the back of the head and your crotch where your testicle is located at, if you a male that is. I'm sure we have the same answer.
@@lordhoboofsavior36 i have trained kicks for more than 10 years, including muaythai, i dont understand how their leg hurt when they kick the meat of his thighs, sorry but u did not bring me anything i can use here
@@MMABeijing You mean a Master Silat thigh that know how to harden his body and know how to take a hit properly, that able to make the kicker feel he is kicking a muscle or bone of the thigh?
Also how much do you know this tatoo guy, Ray? Do you know "Ray" have experience of martial arts/mma/etc, does he have experience of throwing a kick not just a punch if he was a boxer and not a kick boxer?
Does his leg have history of injury before? That would explain why he feel pain in this video where other time he did not.
He could be a beginner in some way(beginner in kicking), despite his well trimmed beard and overexaggerating tatoo he had in his hand.
You are a muay thai fighter who trained for 10 years, you should know not to expect every martial art practitioner to be the same as level as you.
when you do the technique correctly..the small muscles around it will tense and harden like a metal pole..imagine kicking that thing..i have done it to others and it worked...still u need to know your limit
@@MMABeijing actually u can do it urself..try to raises ur calf..feel the muscle on the left of the thigh..then try to make ur knee about perpendicular to ground..and u will understand why..when u tense the muscle..with correct posture and alignment..it must be near 90° for max effect...the muscles will protrude out more and more firm...the small muscle outside will tense and kind of protruding out a little bit..when someone kicks at the place..imagine kicking a pole thats rooted to the ground..try first..and theres also variation on it..to give more pain..since at my place..most teenagers around train muay thai..and they love to do low kick..i really love to give the pain back..but for it to work wonders..u still need to train the leg muscle..calisthenic..weighted squat..and so on
What if you're both skilled in silat? 🤓🤔
Then you watch guinanao
Imagine you have a six pack.
Thigh
Please tell me, what would happen to you in a ring?
In a Thai boxing ring.
- Just keeping it real.
It would be exactly the same except the Thai boxer (doing the kick) probably wouldn't feel the pain back on his kick.
@@popsd3811 l mean in a match in the ring, a whole round. How would he manage?
The best way to explain the effectiveness of this move in the ring is conditioning and always find a way to mitigate the kicking force by moving into the kick or move out of alignment of your opponent kick like Maul explain in real situation. He still not taking the kick completely like in the demonstration. It's always in combination of correct structure, posture, positioning and many other details to reduce the felt impact from the opponents kick. It's from what I understand from an experience silat fighter who had been fighting in Muay Thai competition for a long time. The unique thing about Malayan people is they always know more than one martial arts. If they know silat they usually know other martial arts usually taekwondo, karate, Muay Thai or Muay Boran the most common one or boxing. The silat fighter also said that when entering other styles of ring fights, you have to fight in the same way as the people who used to fight in one. Basically train yourself to adapt to different fighting styles and rules if you want to be in the ring. Then your previous martial training will finds its way to adapt in new environment like some taekwondo fighter, or karate fighter or boxer did when transition into Muay Thai competition. Always prepared and train for the competition.
A better question, and be honest, what would happen to you?
@@dewaynedawkins4573 Actually that's a butthurt coward's trol question, that runs from the truth.
I am not promoting a system on youtube, he is. When l promote something of mine you can ask me.
YOU LYING COWARD. DEAL WITH YOURSELF AND TRUTH.
Impenetrable strength = there is no such thing sooooo I will not waste MB's watching.
watch the video. he never says its impenetrable. "YOU NEED TO KNOW HOW MUCH PAIN THAT YOU CAN TOLERATE".. the aim is not to feel no pain but to be able to brush it off.
@@Freedomspy26 it is in the title of the clip which means it is misleading as well. Just as well I did not waste time to watch. dont need this shit.
@Dodadeus indeed - lol
