Leafs need to get 2 players for the 3rd line. Than you could bump Patch to the 4th line and make it a real heavy group. They also need to have another R-d-man. You could than put Rielly on the 3rd pair where he belongs. Spot play him in 0-zone faceoffs and never have him on in a d-zone faceoff. Sounds easy enough but probably a little to much movement.
I would've been trying hard to acquire Miller. Someone on Reddit suggested Rielly as the centerpiece going back in a trade to the Canucks, with which I agree. I wouldve added McCann and Robertson as well. A bunch more ways to make the deal more interesting, but that's the nuts and bolts of it. Miller would upgrade the potency of our top six! Rielly would be a very good puck-carrying 2nd pair ld behind Quinn Hughes...and he is from Vancouver. So, a real homecoming for him to play for his hometown team!
I wonder if Marchand would consider a trade to the Jets? The Jets pounded the Bruins 8-1 and 6-2 in their 2 meetings. He saw first hand how good the Jets are. I'm sure he took notice.
There's absolutely no chance TOR is upgrading at 2C over Tavares. That's the most insane take ever. Lou isn't going to stay through a rebuild so not happening.

Pettersson isn’t getting traded. Him leaving would be ridiculous, especially after the Miller trade… That would be them going into full rebuild. Aquilini would fire Rutherford and Allvin before that happens.

How is he a headache? There hasn't been one negative article written about him in any So Cal media. Zero rumors he's trouble in the locker room, so how is he a headache. Do tell.
@ The Avs won't have a 1st round pick below the 20's for a few years at least, so a top prospect and their first would be the minimum. Thing is for those not familiar, the Ducks coaching staff does not do a very good job with the young talent. They prefer the veterans and hold the kids back... a lot. They are not developing as fast as they should. Moments of brilliance here and there, sure, but nothing long term for most of them, yet. Don't get me wrong I think Cronin would be great to chat with but his system for the Ducks and all their young players isn't working. Zegras is still a high flying 65 point per year minimum player f healthy and on a top line. What he would do in Col could be scary if he played a top six role. Personally I hope the Ducks keep him and get a new coach next season that will help the young players develop better.

He would either go to Colorado or Edmonton maybe Vegas. But more than likely he would end up in Colorado.

Depends on how much Anaheim is asking he hasnt been earning his money hes making but maybe a good fit. Would be cool to see
