Sora and Kairi's relationship is badly written since they are life-long friends. Usually, childhood friends can be seen as family, and most aren't attracted to those who are seen as family. The reason I hate this ship so much is because of how unrealistic it is. Sora and Kairi are childhood friends and they have a crush on each other. And people tend to view childhood friends as siblings and not love interests. So Sora and Kairi should be viewing each other as siblings and not loving each other romantically. I've never had a crush on any of my childhood friends ever (because I thought of them as siblings), and I've never knew anyone else that ever had a crush on any of their childhood friends (because they probably thought of them as siblings also). So the idea of them being together just sounds stupid and ridiculous because of the reasons I stated.

I'm gonna be incredibly real here but I always seen the Paopu fruit as a Marriage proposal or a Promise ring for an actual engagement. Kairi knew and was clearer about his feelings because of Roxas, After that she did all the more to get herself closer to him and as well learn the ways of the keyblade that ended up deepening their relationship in KH3. This new trailer for Re:mind and they're together again makes me happy just for the fact she finally found him even if it was for a short time they managed to holding hands and be with each other again. I believe Kairi and Sora (if and when they make a new generation of keyblade Masters) They'll be married and also train the new wielders of the new generation or They'll have kids and it'll be like a passing of the torch.. either way I'm down for either of those SorKai is the best 💘

There's a short connection between Kairi and Roxas where he mentions that "she's that girl he likes" and she's desperate to remember his name which prompts Sora to tease and guess what it is. As Sora's memories are being restored, everything finally starts to click once Kairi is remembered. When Sora sees Jack and Sally together, it prompts Sora to imagine him and Kairi dancing and laughing while holding hands. When Sora reads Kairi's letter to him (not knowing who he was at the time) it is a strong enough bond for light to pass into the Realm of Darkness and open up a door for him and Riku to get back to Destiny Islands. KH3, Sora and Kairi finally share a paopu fruit (Kairi initiates it and Sora gladly accepts), when Kairi is threatened at the Keyblade Graveyard, Sora rushes in to shield her from any attack and is prepared to make another physical sacrifice. When Sora perishes at the hand of the gigantic demon tide, it's Kairi whose power sends Sora to The Final World so that he can get everyone back from the heartless lich (basically the grim reaper). Later, when she and Sora are reunited, she mentions that she couldn't bear to let him go and held on to his being with all her strength (similar to how she restored him after becoming a heartless in Hollow Bastion). When the battle is over, Sora and Kairi are seen holding hands and deeply looking into each other's eyes knowing this will be the last time they see each other for a while. In the ReMind DLC, it's revealed that Sora breaks a nature taboo (used power of waking too many times) to bring back Kairi after she was destroyed by Xehanort and that is what causes him to fade away. Desperately wanting to bring Sora back, Kairi agrees to go into stasis and remains that way for an entire year. Yeah, they both like each other lol

As soon as I started playing Kingdom Hearts from start to finish, I saw something special between Sora and Kairi. And I started to fall for these two. They have become my favorite characters in all of video game history and I love them. I'm hoping they get the happy reunion they deserve in phase 2 of Kingdom Hearts, and they'll never be separated again. There's no heart of a true Kingdom Hearts fan their love can't reach.

What did it for me was the fact that he says “I feel strong with you Kairi” and the fact that they ate the star fruit which in this universe is basically like being engaged. I always saw the Sora, Riku, and Kairi trio as a love triangle where in kh2 Kairi put their hands together signifying that she wanted to let him be with the person he loved if that person was Riku but the person he loved was in fact Kairi in kh3 and Riku decided he was okay with that in the end At least that’s how I always saw the story
For as long as I have played this game over and over again I alwags thought that if I tried hard enough to make sora as strong as he could be they would be able to stay together but every time I realize that for some reason something keeps them apart and it makes me so sad. I just want them to be happy together and I hope that day will come.
Sora himself said it. His whole journey began the fateful day he lost her, and every time they find each other, they end up separated from external circumstances beyond their control. I believe Sora and Kairi's intimate connection will play a part in his revival, as will his brotherly connection with Riku. And Unlike Sora, Riku may not be so lucky.
