@@Araju-q7n Agar Kishore Kumar Rafi se great hain to usne har hero ke liye gaana kyo nahi gaaya ? Where was for the whole 25 years - 1945 till 1970 ? Why did majority music composers did not use his voice for all the heroes , comedians , side heroes and every unknown actor during these 25 years ? Why did he not sing patriotic songs , gazals , naat , nazm , bhajans , qawwalis , sad songs ? Singing for only S D Burman and R D Burman does not make you no 1 singer . Rafi saab sang songs for 243 music composers and 310 lyricists. Can you tell me what is the similar count for kishore kumar ? There are 6000 songs available of Rafi saab and it is estimated that he must have sung few more hundreds say about 6500 . I myself have a collection of 5800 songs of Rafi saab. How many did kishore kumar sing ? Not even half of that . I like kishore kumar also. He is a very good singer and I like his songs expecially the ones of Golden Era up to 1970 . They are really nice. But I dont sit in judgement and say Rafi kuchh bhi nahi kishore kumare ke saamne. First do your home work , study the whole hindi cinema music from 1950 to 1970 and then you will understand who was no 1 male playback singer. Every contemporary singer of Rafi saab including kishore kumar himself besides Manna Dey , Mukesh , Talat Mehmood , Mahendra Kapoor recognised Rafi Saab as undisputed no 1 male singer . Go and see Manna Dey's 6-7 interviews and you will come to know. Study before making such stupid statements.
Let me further add. Rafi saab sang for 410 actors . This is on record and it is possible , he has sung for many more. For how many actors did Kishore kumar sing ? Sirf Rajesh khanna ke aur R D Burman ke gaane gaake koi great nahi hota. Foundation of Golden Era is not RD Burman and Kishore Kumar. It is Mohammed Rafi and other singers and music directors like Naushad , C Ramchandra , Shankar Jaikishen, O P Nayyar , Chitragupt , Roshan , Madan Mohan , S D Burman , Ravi , Sajjad Hussain , LP , KA , to name a few ....
