  • Silent home movie from Charles E. Nodler, Jr. showing Native Americans dancing in a circle in Neosho, Missouri. At the end of the film, Thomas Hart Benton dances with them and stands talking to others. Former president Harry S. Truman can be seen briefly, talking to Benton. The occasion was Thomas Hart Benton Day in Benton's birthplace, Neosho, May 12, 1962.
    Original 8mm film was returned to Mr. Nodler, archivist at Missouri Southern State College in Joplin, Missouri. The Truman Library's most original copy is on 3/4" Umatic video tape. There are no restrictions on its use. Please credit: Charles E. Nodler, Jr.; Harry S. Truman Library.
