I use tobacco purshased from smokingpipes.com, and my mix is: 1 part Ryback from Daughters & Ryan and 3 parts Natural Virginia & Burley from Low Country.
I bought one a couple weeks ago and I love mine. It works best with short tobacco shreds and at a certain moisture level. But I buy cheap American club tobacco and I pick out stems and cut the shreds short and it works pretty good for me. It was well worth the $200 plus tax that I paid and rolls fast and I put the cigarettes in my plastic Tube Cut brand packs. I may switch my tobacco brand to full flavored Native all Natural. It's the same as the cartons of cigarettes I use to buy, and I was very happy with them.
I invested in this machine and like it a lot. I would make a recommendation to add a small guiding LED light by the tube insertion point which is lower on the device. Most people will place this in or on a tray , mine is higher than most at 2-3" which creates some depth and shadow but still .. especially if I'm using it in dim lighting , the brightness of the LED screen on top blinds me to the tube insertion point. I'd recommend lowering the brightness of the top screen and adding a small light to illuminate where you put the tube especially because it has to be on there precisely to work. I know you're not the manufacturer but if you sell them maybe you can feed this back to them
Thank you for sharing! i started rolling my own smokes in 90's cause i was raising my 2 boys and didn't have alot of money.also if you put a UNPEELED CARROT in your tobacco it will keep it fresh
I started rolling in 1982 at the age of 13 since the money from washing the neighbors cars wasn't enough to buy factory cigs. I have not tried the Carrot trick, I always used the Potato trick😊 -Take care.
I put a bottle cap with a piece of sponge in the cap and put a little of water in it and it works well just place it on top of the tobacco I keep my tobacco in a container with a snap on lid
I saw a review Dec 27, 2019 and they say and show a setting for 100mm and kings, I think they did an upgrade on this machine, the readout window looks different also

REDBACK Hi there. I have no idea what the moisture is in %. I think it is about the same as the tobacco in a pack of factory cigarettes or maybe even a little bit dryer. Hope this helps.
@@felgercarb3803 I buy tobacco and moisture off tobacco is around 36-38% to used it with my ROLLO MACHINE need to be dry tobacco between 12-15% if over this machine will bi jammed! Have great day!
i saw videos about powermatic 2 and this model 3 and i dont see so much difference other than the big price of model 3 and having to push on tobacco a bit with powermatic 2. for the price and when you really want to save on buying cigarettes and roll them instead , spending over 300$ on this machine seems too much to me. the powermatic 2 even looks faster and is less than half the price.
The powermatic 3 is easier, there are people who have mastered the powermatic 2 and can pack at the rates of the powermatic 3+ but the 3+ does 100's and for those of use with arthritis over time the 3+ is much easier on our hands.
@@TobaccoLeavesStore i dont agree with much easier. you still need to push buttons and put tobacco in and put a filter. not much more harder to push a lever up and down. my wife has hand problems and with the powermatic 2 she has no problems at all. for the price is not worth the difference.
@@maniaque37 I know for me(i had shrapnel through my left hand) the PM3+ has been alot easier than the 2. it might be the bigger profile and the hopper, maybe it just works better for my funky hands. i will be honest the PM3+ makes RYO kinda fun and zen for me.
I wish mine worked as well as that. It runs and runs and runs, and if you're lucky then it will pack a cigarette that's so tightly packed it's difficult to even smoke it. It's slow and...just bad. Regret buying it.
Saddest Chord -Send it in for repair or buy a new one. Im at 28000 cigarettes and have/had no problems. Maybe its because i only use very corse tobacco and therefor dont have any tobacco dust that can get inside the machine.

Hi. It depends on what you like. Loose or firm rolled cigatettes or if you use moist/wet or dry tobacco. Here is what I found out and use. First of all, I like my cigarettes loose rolled and my tobacco very dry. If i have dry tobacco, I will use setting 3. If i have VERY dry tobacco, I will use setting 4. If i have moist/wet tobacco, I will use setting 2. -Hope this helps and have fun.
What a way over priced machine, the powermatic 2 is still the best bang for your buck and will waste no tobacco, the 3 will jam up once getting to the end of the bag where when using the 2 you can load less of the smaller bits of tobacco not causing a jam and use 100 percent of the bag. There is no way in hell I would buy one of these for so much.
