I recommend that you go watch the original music videos for both More and Arson. The closed caption will work there. The awards ceremony performances generally do not have closed captions available. "I'm your hope" is his signature introduction. The full version is "I'm your hope. You're my hope. I'm... jhope!" And everyone shouts "jhope". In regards to the solo performances and other members, it depends. There are a few solo performances that were included in the group albums and performed during group concerts. Those, obviously, all the members were present. However, in late 2022, they took a break from group activities and started focusing on solo work until 2025. Each of the members released official solo albums. More and Arson are 2 of the songs from jhope's official solo album. He has released other solo work as a mixtape in the past. They are ...brighter than these two songs. Going back to the topic, though, for the solo performances as of 2022, no, the other members were not usually present. Occasionally, one or two of the members would attend a performance, but for the most part, they operated solo.

9:40 you asked if the other members are present when they do their solo work. They have attended other member's solo concert, performance at Lollapalooza and visited them backstage when their schedule allow.
Fun fact #1: The oldest member, Jin has previously announced that he will be the first member to enlist in the military, so during jhope's speech after accepting the MAMA Platinum Award that was awarded to BTS as a group, he called Jin on the phone to give the acceptance speech.
Fun fact #2: For Suga's solo concert tour. The last 3 concert days of his tour he invited 3 of the members to perform a song with him each day and then Suga would leave the stage to let the other member sing their own solo song. THE LOVE THEY HAVE FOR EACH OTHER IS IMMEASURABLE. This is also why they are loved by ARMYs and we would do anything to protect them 💜🥹

I am 63, and I adore JHope. I have watched the Lalapalooza with him dozens of times. It's an hour long. My favorite solo artist concert ever! When JHope started with BTS there was a petition to have him removed. Saying he was ugly and untalented! He is definitely not either one of those! He was ready to give up. He is so talented so handsome. Not sure why he was treated poorly! Love this man.

ARSON J Hope compares his passion for music and ambition to fire. He lit the fire. In this song he tells how that fire got too big its out of control, does he risk burn out? Does he douse the flame or keep burning bigger and bigger.

💜🇧🇷💜JHope is the most versatile artist! He has all kinds of styles of music, and he is amazing dancer and a complete artist. Thanks so much for checking this video. 💜💜💜🫶🏻💜💜 We call him our Sunshine, becomes he has a really amazing bright and fun personality, but some songs we can always find another side of his professionalism. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜they do have solo performances in their shows. Sometimes ( most the times ) on their solo concerts or shows they come and support one another and was one time on Suga’s Concert, he even invited the members to perform with him, because he wants the members to experience the concert once more before they all go to military, and was such a nice surprise for Army to seeing them. 💜

It's an Award Show where he picked up a number of awards some for himself and some for the whole BTS group they received a brand new award created just for them the Platium award. Jin was already in the military and J Hope while accepting one of the main awards for BTS rang him and put the mic to his mobile phone (cell phone for Americans) so the audience could hear Jin speak to them.
Normally they would all have attended the Award Show's although for some Award Show's where they have had problems eg insulted or accused of untrue things eg events that had nothing to do with them but the Award Show's themselves who took far too long in admitting it was their error and nothing to do with BTS. So for those Awards Shows they don't appear they only send in Pre recorded acceptance speeches.
You would not believe the disgusting things that have happened to them, the way they've been attacked, treated the number of death threats they've received over the years. The out and out pure hatred they've received and still do.

While RM and Suga were already rappers when they joined Big Hit...JHope was a hip hop dancer..who won a national compitition at one point. He trained to be a rapper after joining Big Hit for BTS. He also can sing and he is the dance leader. He learns the choreo then teaches the other members

During this solo chapter they weren’t always together to see each other’s performances. For this one there wasn’t any other member to see j-hope’s performance, around that time he had many shows to attend, like award ceremonies in other countries promoting his solo projects and receive the awards for the group, the new year’s eve in times square and it would’ve been a bit hard for the others to fly everywhere while working on their own music. But with every occasion they get, they’re going to support each other. In the summer of 2022 when he was a headliner for lollapalooza jimin went to chicago to see his stage. Also during suga’s solo tour last year jimin went to see him in the us, then him and v and jungkook went to another show in seoul, j-hope and jin went to another concert as soon as they got their permission days from the military, then jungkook and rm and jimin went to perform on stage with suga for his last three shows. They’ve tried to be there for each other as much as possible during this era of separation and kept reassuring us that they can’t wait to perform as a group again once they’re all back in 2025.
As a side note, I appreciate what you said about their rap being different from the ones on the west, it’s completely true, although they might turn off hate they are getting sometimes or their beats get angrier on some tracks, they have this side of keeping everything as real as it can get. On that idea, one of the most beloved songs of j-hope is “equal sign” where the lyrics go “Hate'll paralyze your mind/Gotta see the other side/It costs ya nothin' to be kind/Not so different you and I/Lookin' for love in a different light/Until we find that equal sign” and it’s just a really beautiful way to put words together.
Thank you for your reaction and I hope you have a wonderful week!

If you watched the music videos first this performance would have made more sense but you can watch them now if you want. This performance is at an awards show like our Grammys, Oscars, etc. The two guys they showed are other K-pop idols enjoying J-Hope's performance. As far as the other members being there, it depends. At this point, Jin was already in the military and I don't think they all want to be together at one time with someone missing, so J-Hope was the BTS representative who was there to accept the award BTS received. When J-Hope performed at Lollapalooza in Chicago, Jimin came to support and watch him. When Suga did his solo concert in Korea, Jin and J-Hope were in the military but took a vacation day to go to the concert and support Suga. There are other ARMY's out there that may be able to provide more information.

Because j-hope always tried hard to show us the sunny side of him, he made this album as a type of catharsis - where he could reveal his troubles and darkness. Such a talented man - and doing so well in his military role. We are waiting j-hope's return in October 2024. My favorite j-hope song is his cover of Chicken Noodle Soup.

So glad you found J Hope. Love all the rappers. More and Arson are two of my favorite songs of J Hope. When I first saw the video I was in shock. J Hope is also known as sunshine, brings positive energy. I really like the MV it gives you a better understanding of the songs, and of J Hope, as someone else mentioned. If you watch the part of Lollapoalooza Chicago 2022 the part right before he sings these songs, Pandora's box is mentioned and it explains some things, I think it will help. You can do on own time if you like, I am not looking for a reaction. Also, Jack in the Box has more to do with the children's toy, a jester pops out. You will get that more from the mv. The two guys in the crowd ( where Idols sit, not the audience). They were a group I'm not familiar with. About other members, several have commented, the only thing I have to add, is for example, during Suga tour Jimin was in New York at least one of the nights but in the audience. Suga made mention of him. This has happened, one or more would show up but be behind the scenes, not always announced, it just depends. Jimin also showed up for a solo promotion for V he actually came on stage. At this particular advent J Hope was attending to receive awards for BTS and I think himself, Army needs to weigh in here ( took home 7 I believe). Have a blessed day!

The two guys are Ni-Ki and Jay. Enhypen was formed from an online competition show that Big Hit was involved with call i-Land. Their label (BE-Lift) is a subsidiary of HYBE, the company that was created from the label that BTS came up in. In other words, it's the "company that BTS built." There are now multiple subsidiary labels under HYBE that have all been purchased, including HYBE America, which was formed from the purchase of Scooter Braun's company Ithaca Holdings and includes Big Macine Records where a ton of the most well-known country acts are. BTS was present for an episode of i-Land to give feedback, and all seven members of Enhypen look up to BTS a lot and have been fans of theirs for a long time.

normally they are there by themself but other times one or two members are there for moral support. Jimin went to j-hope when he was headlining lollapalooza in Chicago 2022, he performed 19 songs back to back and it was wild.
you have to watch the whole performance at some point. also Army sold out all the tickets that night it was maybe 95% army present. so the army bombs lit up the whole place. and he was the artist who sold the most merch (1 mil worth) it was so crazy i watched it live online along with 15 mil other armys so it was a big thing.

    • @OT7_DopeOldARMY
      @OT7_DopeOldARMY 8 місяців тому

Actually, it wasn't really 95%. I was there. :-) It's easy to think that if you watch the videos, but the audience was much bigger than what you can see with ARMY bombs. I'd say the audience was about 60-65% ARMY and the rest were regular festival-goers...and the number of general public kept getting larger because people were really curious due to the huge crowd, super engaged audience (we were LOUD and knew most of the words), and the ARMY bombs. If you look at video later in the concert that shows the crowd, you can tell that there are a lot of people behind the people wiith ARMY bombs. You have to look closely, though.

Hi! About the question, when the other members can, they will attend the show to support them. For example Suga (Agust D) did a solo tour and on multiple occasions some of the members were there in the audience and were asked to come on stage. They are very supportive of eachother. Aswell as the director of their company will sometimes attend. The first song of j-hope, 'more' is about his passion for his music and has some rock elements. Arson is about his struggle between being himself and his fame, asking himself the question whether he should go on or burn down everything he's worked for.
Also, you asked who those guys were that were shown at some point. They are 2 members of the group Enhypen. With award shows, lot's of groups attend and watch the show. Enhypen is a group under the same label as BTS, so they are BTS's juniors.

Thanks for your reaction. BTS's rap is very different as you may have already noticed. Although when you get to know more about the music of the rap line you will find some songs for the haters, I consider that about 80% of their songs have a message of self-knowledge, self-love, resilience, self-improvement and some of relief about their personal issues. In his solo work you will get some cursing on their lyrics (especially with Suga and RM) but it is still very different from North American rap
On this Jhope's performance he went alone and represented the group by receiving the most important awards of the night
In general we saw that in their solo projects they were alone although from time to time some of the members came to provide support... for example when Jhope performed at Lollapalooza, he was having a hard time because he is a very perfectionist and was exhausted with rehearsals and Jimin traveled to the USA to support him when he found out about the pressure that Jhope was dealing with and that made all the difference for him, it changed his face, his mood... The soloist work I think has made them appreciate teamwork even more
When Jk, Jimin, Jhope performed on Korean shows, some members also visited them backstage but individually. I think they have also done it this way to allow the spotlight on the member who is currently releasing his solo work and so that "BTS as a group" does not take away attention
    Regards from Mexico

Hi! Write these on your list for the future. As I Told You - a very early song (2013 or 2o14). It's so fun to see them as young boys and compare to who they are today - like maybe compare to the Grammys 2022 Butter.
J-Hope's slogan is "I'm your hope, you're my hope, I'm J-Hope!" His album was called Jack in the Box. This song completely shocked me - I am so used to his happy,, sunshiny personality with the big smile that I have seen in their shows, vacations, and other places that I couldn't believe it. Then I did see English subtitles, and realized he was expressing a side of himself that was a bit dark, and that didn't fit the sunny "hobi" we all know. He has another Day Dream that's a solo but happy, and a stage performance Mama, a tribute and thank you to his mom.

Like you, I have not been a fan of American rap music. There are not many positive lyrics there. But, I love music. My whole life I have been open-minded about all music genres.
So when I discovered BTS in 2017, I was just blown away by their Live performance right here in the US.
I, too, had no idea what the rappers were saying, or what the vocal line (blew me away too!!)was singing, but I was amazed how great it all sounded together. The music was very catchy instantly. Costumes were perfect. Now, let's talk about amazing dance skills, some of the best, innovative choreography I've come across in years! Of course, all the boys are extremely good-looking!
I was instantly down the rabbit hole half way through the song....
As I started my own amazing journey getting to know the members own journey is amazing and also heartbreaking.
I could tell immediately that RM, SUGA, and J-Hope, are very, very talented rappers and discovered that they were allowed to write their own rap songs based on their individual stories/experiences that anyone around the world at any age can understand and appreciate. Their rap lyrics are profound at times discussing serious topics. But also write fun rap songs as well. You are so right that BTS rap songs are not even close to American rappers today and I guess I just wanted to say thank you for recognizing the difference right away. There are many Army who say they weren't into rap until they heard RM, SUGA, and J-hope raps. 😅
    Sry this was long winded.
I am enjoying your channel! Welcome to the
    BTS Army 😊🎉💜🫶🏻
P.S. the group of BTS was initially going to be a rap style k-pop band with RM, SUGA and J-Hope.

I prefer much earlier rap, I grew up in the 80's. That's why I love these 2 songs so much.
This was a more recent awards show so they were all doing solo work and it was JHope's solo album that got nominated. What was so wonderful was that he called Jin on the phone when he accepted an award, and Jin talked to ARMY. I love how they include each other. Brothers. 💜

Thank you for your reaction, it is appreciated. Sometimes the members are present during solo member concerts...this MMA being an award show, the boys were sitting in the audience. J-HOPE will soon be releasing a documentary I believe it will be available for viewing on Prime video, and also releasing a 6 track album to go with it. Not sure of the exact date but my other sister Armies can let you know.
J-Hope is just amazing as are his fellow members x
💜🙏💜🙏💜🙏💜🙏💜⭐️ Please react to Suga's 'Amygdala, Daewitcha & Heagum- all 3 tie in with each other and a true story behind them.

No other BTS members were present at this award show, actually. J-hope called Jin while accepting one of the BTS awards, but otherwise no one from BTS was there. Also, I think a BTS member or two have been at well over half of the other members' solo performances. No one else was there for Jin's performance with Coldplay since it was in Argentina and Jin didn't have time for any other performances before enlisting, but most of the members had support for at least one of their music show or concert/festival performances (Tae for JK, SUGA for Jimin, Jimin for JK, etc. at music shows, Jimin traveled for j-hope at Lolla. No one was at Rolling Hall for RM but Jimin was there for a live recording that RM did as a part of his promotions, all five members were present for (and RM, Jimin, and JK all actually performed at) different Seoul-based concerts for SUGA's D-DAY tour.) Jin and j-hope had alrady enlisted before SUGA's D-DAY tour, but both were in the audience the night RM performed there. They all sat together. JK, Jimin, and V also attended one of the first Seoul concerts by SUGA. When their schedules have allowed, I think they've really tried to have someone there for at least one thing that each member has done.

Can understand your feelings about american rap...I have always been pretty much the same...however, once I found BTS and read the lyrics to understand their rap I loved it....the flow, the beats....fantastic. Keep up your reactions...I like your attitude....PS if you can't find captions for BTS clips anywhere else, Enjoy BTS More is a channel that does a great job. JHope's lyrics for both these songs are particularly good.

I’m 68 yr old white grandmother and have never been a fan of rap, but BTS has taught me to appreciate rap. 😊 In case you have forgotten, J-Hope is the one with the street dancing with experience. When BTS first started there were theee guys that n the dance line (J-Hope, Jimin and JK. They are called the 3Js) JHope will be dropping an album at the end of March and Jung Kook will be on one of the songs.

I know you have said that your videos get blocked I have seen that when up upload don’t forget to do the label such as Bighit or BE music. The introduction. That’s very important. Ok I don’t like rap from USA because they’re not saying anything like you said violence, sex My granddaughters told me about a rap song about farting and it was Grammy nominated lol😂 I can listen to BTS rap all day because it has a message or it’s about their story and it’s inspiring. Suga/Agust D is my bias which my granddaughters thought that I would choose a vocalist. Suga speak to me and I relate to him I love all of the Guys and I am sure when they return they will set the music industry on fire. I enjoy your reactions. When you get a chance RM’s Mono mixtape is healing. That’s what I am listening to because I need it now 💜

It’s a huge simplification to say that US rap music is all about violence and sex. It has a huge history of being way that disenfranchised African American can talk about the problems and discrimination they face. A lot of it is basically political commentary. A lot of rap is also extremely beautiful poetry and goes deep into analyzing the human condition
Yes much of the mainstream rap nowadays is about sex, drugs and flexing but take into account that it’s the major music labels promoting and putting money behind gangsta rap. Rap has always been a powerful tool to talk about social injustices.

I can't help it, I love Jhope's energy.👍👍💜. Most of the rapping in K-pop is more for music style and don't promote violence. With that said K-Hip Hop does rap about girls and use heavier language, its still a lot tamer than Western rap music but depends on the artist. RM and Suga were underground rappers, so keep that in mind. Some of their language (mainly used to emphasize strong emotions) will be show up in their solo songs. They are talking about struggles they felt at that moment.

Hi. :3 So this is my first time commenting on your channel after watching all your BTS videos so far. :) But I wanted to share some of my personal honest thoughts about your video. :O In this video, since you don't know about the lyrics, instead of repeating comments like rap is all about violence, sex, etc..., why don't you talk about his performance, image, the way he dances, his face the way he dominates the stage. I want to hear your thoughts deeply. :< I watched all your BTS videos and I noticed most of your comments were very superficial and I felt like you didn't pay much attention to the video content. Even in vids with lyrics, I don't hear you sharing your feelings about the lyrics because BTS is famous for their profound lyrics. These are just my personal shares and... yeah, I like you and this is your channel anyway so I hope it grows well. :v
*Note: English is not my first language so...Thank u. :>

That guy looked like Jimin, didn't he? But these idols often copy their hairstyles. If someone's schedule permits, they may go to support the soloist. Jimin went to Chicago to support J-hope's concert, and to a fan promotion for V, V went to Japan to support JK. Jin and J-Hope took military leave to see Suga's concert, and RM, JK, and Jimin each performed one night on stage. There are other times. When they tour as a group and someone has a solo, the others are backstage changing costume.

  • @SusieQ1955
    @SusieQ1955 8 місяців тому +3

If there's one thing true, each of these men have a completely different style from the others when left on his own. V's jazz, Jungkook's melodies, Jin's powerful voice messages, have you seen Jimin? Now this! RM has a quiet rap/sing style, and Suga (solo name Agust D) is a storyteller using rap. Btw I think you could get to his trilogy without being blocked, the three in it are Daechwita, Haegeum, Amygdala. I cannot wait for them all to return and put this enormous talent back together again.
BTW, J-hope is also the lead dancer and an excellent dancer himself.

You are doing yourself a serious disservice by not viewing the original music videos for BTS. You are one of the few reaction persons who don't do it. You loose so much interpretation by not seeing them. Especially when you are new to them and still dont understand the vocal line or rap line. Its easy to know which is what because it will be marked ORIGINAL /OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO. Trust me on this.
