Thank You Helen..... This is a great video, especially as my better half is on the verge of becoming a pillion passenger. I'm treading that fine line between trying to explain and not being to pushy, so when she is seeing you having fun and explaining packing as a pillion does help. Ta G
You nailed Helen, very good job! You really provided the most valuable tips and I agree with everything you suggest. I would just share three key items from my experience, if I may return the favour: 1-Guglatech Tornado bag (to dry your clothes wile riding); 2-hand-rolled vacuum bags to save even more space; 3-hard shampoo and conditioner (saves space and avoids spill accidents). Again, thank you! 🙏
Yeah! Finally a new Helraser video! I absolutely love listening to Helen and her accent. And her presenting her hair straightener makes me invariably think of Spaceballs.
You guys do such a Great job making these videos. Love the way you film and edit and show the scenery as well as the road travel, the music and especially your comments and sense of humor. Great work, giving so much pleasure to so many ! Whilst we are being 'isolated' (lucky !) in Western Australia it is great to see many places of past travels in Eu through your eyes . What wonderful documents they are. We will see them all. You are doing a great community service and , over time , it must be great for yourselves to see your trips, time and again. Thanks and keep up the great work ! Jon in Perth
The Boss says that Helen got it right, well done. The only tip She would add is that a packing list is key, for the first couple of trips it got 'honed' (anything She didn't use was crossed off upon our return), but for the last 7 years the list has remained basically static and as She says " I'm Perfect and so is my packing list" I of course agree 😀
Love these videos! I’ve just stumbled across the channel, eagerly anticipating and planning for our West Coast of Scotland trip in June. So well produced and funny too, great job guys and thank you! 👍🏻
Well done nice to see you back again, my wife does all the packing and she manages it preety good now. In the beginning you tend to take stuff you never use. But like you said learn from your mistakes. Keep Well and looking forward to your next video. Greetings from Holland.
Great advice I will show my pillion wife :-) have booked a trip to Scotland fingers crossed we can come up, st,cathrines hopefully a good base to explore. Look forward to seeing more from you guys this year -sticker is on my top box thanks
@@travelsonmymotorbike We've booked our Scotland Bike tour for August so if you can make sure the day of Summer falls when we're there that would be good.

Glad to see that T shirt fits ok, phew !!. Nigel Goodson makes a great point with the packing cubes they are brilliant, been touring for over 30 years and only discovered them in 2018.
I highly recommend zip lock bags for dirty or smelly clothes and also for all liquids being put into the bag. 👍 Happy to see you two back on the Tubes.
@@travelsonmymotorbike Oh, I just remembered that Sue from MMD did a similar video and explained how she uses zip lock bags to organize her clothes. ua-cam.com/video/B5r-_DGlr7w/v-deo.html
Good advices! Planning my first trip alone . However I have so much questions on what I should or should not carrying with me. Thanks Helen! Waiting for your next video and road trip!
I am amazed you get a whole panner to yourself. We use the 2 rule when traveling. 2 pants, 2 tshirts, 2 singlets, 2 long sleve tops (normally 1 merino and 1 rain jacket. Does not matter if we go for a week or 3 months. On the old occasion where we cant find a washing machine we just buy a souvenir top. Packing cells are a must. We have two some point during the trip one turns in to washing bag.
Great tips and great to see you both again! You two could take turns reading the phone book on video and make it entertaining. Where are you two planning to try and go this year........????
Hi Helen, nice video. Have you tried using Vac bags, just means you can squeeze in the odd extra item of clothes. Please note you do not need a vacuum to suck the air out, just fill the bag then open the valve and sit on it. Then close the valve, job done.👍👍👍
Yes Team Helraser are back in town. Nice to see you both. Helen, I cannot believe that you didn't recommend a first aid kit. Not that I think you are accident prone or anything. 🤪 Ride safe guys.
Have you tried packing cubes? great for organising Really enjoy your videos, watched them all through lockdown, looking forward to seeing your next adventure :-)
Enjoyed watching your vids of all your travels around Europe. My Mrs came out for a spin on my bike yesterday. When she got a new helmet as a Christmas present she knew there was trouble ahead :) (the last time the 2 of us on a bike was 25 years ago on an island in Greece) anyway it was great getting out on the bike for a spin again. Do you guys use any kind of intercom system? There was so much shouting going on I was thinking ..holy God.. everyone can hear us having an ol bargy ... an intercom might be a good idea 😊
Lol, I can just imagine her face when she opened her present on Christmas morning 😂 So, there's good arguments for and against comms. We decided against them and developed a system of yelling and hand signals, with the occasional punch in the ribs, for communication. Also when in a busy town and you're listening for sat nav commands you probably don't want a third person in the headset!
my top tips make everything do more than one thing clothes can multi task eg kevlar jeans can been worn out to eat so can some lighter bike boots . Oh and if you need to carry emergency chocolate through hot countries buy it in shell form minstrels and M and M. I'm looking to try UNDER ARMOUR bike gear, heard it's almost self drying after a hand wash, any previous with it? thanks for the vid stay safe
That makes sense, I like my biking jeans and as you say comfortable enough to walk around in as are the Altberg boots I use. Another tip would be to do your clothes washing in the shower! Check out 'ExOfficio' their travel clothing is expensive but great.
