This reminds me of the old school Top Gear format from the early 90s

Good info, keep the format, and maybe add more text graphics while you're explaining so we can look at it in a glance (ie. Specs, L/100km etc). Since it's your car, it's great that you included your user and service experience. Keep it up for other cars, and the best info about used cars that many Malaysian used car reviewers miss are detailed user experience research in terms of servicing and spare parts availability for certain cars. So if you would include that (of course an Axia is a no brainer on parts availability, and yes, you did go through it servicing, so I appreciated that), it would keep you above the rest. I'd love to see older cars (2002-2006) being reviewed from a normal Malaysian perspective.

Thanks for the feedback. Getting older cars for content and providing comprehensive information will be tough, but we'll try. We'll mainly produce content on new cars

It's crazy how much Perodua Axia first facelift hold up in price. Still using one since 2017 and it never break down. Could literally go another 100K miles on this one. It just works.

Im using the 2015 G spec manual. I opt for that spec just because of the cherry blossom colorway. As a first car, it is a good car. But as a family car, once you have a child, it is best to buy a sedan cause as you mentioned, once you fit a stroller, than that's it. Not much space left. In my experience, my Axia has been serving me well till this day.

I like this concept. Would love to see you cover more used cars. It would help buyers to know the gotchas on second hand cars and might highlight some underappreciated gems. Keep up the great work!

Idk why but the 2018 Axia G is the best looking axia out there. Not plastered with chrome and fitting for it's customer base and purpose. Simple and affordable. Not trying to "look at me!!" type of car. Beautiful and simple design that I like, which is the 2018 Axia G. I bought one in 2019 and still using it. Only problem was low oil pressure. And that's cuz I daily drive it 5 years with 80k+ KM today. Can calculate yourself lol how much I drive in a year.
I feel like it's a car anyone should buy even if you're rich. Great car to drive around in the city and excellent fuel economy. Just buy it to go work and back home
Why does yours come with steelies tho?

If buying a used Axia is better for people who just wants a car that only needs to be serviced at any generic workshops with their own choice of engine oils and aftermarket spare parts, then there is no point trying debate further about their financial choices. Much better than seeing people buying brand-new Axias continuously complaining about warranty this warranty that, cannot do servicing at non-Perodua workshops, cannot use engine oil brands from Shopee Motorsport etc.

No. Bcos the used cars prices are too high.
I rather buy the new Axia E manual transmission or the new Axia G auto. But if Perodua were to re launch the old Axia auto variants, l would be very interested. I just like small cars.😅

This 2018 axia need many things needed to replace after 6 years. Even though the mileage on 60k, many wear and tear on under carriage side such as absorber, stabiliser link etc that is linked with those component. Luckily mines is manual so no need to change the oil cooler. Also ac is not that cold anymore. For the price used not sure worth it or not because it does need many things needed to take care.

Can you do a review on used Saga (2019 above version), wanted to get one because I know the manual version comes with a lot of stuff

    • @vsmh96
      @vsmh96 3 години тому

The 2019 Saga MT from what I see came with ABS/EBD, folding mirrors and keyless fob.
Compared to the 2016 Saga VVT MT only the ABS/EBD is new on the 2019 model. Folding mirrors (assuming you can also control them from the inside is also a welcome feature, as the 2016 had mirrors you needed to adjust manually). 2016 model had a full key.
A step back however was the removal of front parking sensors on the 2019 model.
Both models had issues with the left front door being misaligned or something and rubbing on the frame / pillar or rear door
Moving to the current version, MC2 I think, we now have brake assist as an additional safety feature, rims have increased to 15". We are still missing ESC which speaks for itself if you've ever experienced it before. Unfortunately only the higher variants have more safety features, gone are the days when they had a Premium MT.
