Great job Nat 👍. When I spray any plastic parts then finish with the lacquer I warm the lacquer up apply it then the next day the lacquer has dried it leaves all cracks in the lacquer I don't know why? Thanks. Neil
Sounds like a reaction between your lacquer and your paint. Some don’t go well together. I have had the same with my first attempt at the mudguard on my sv650 frankenbike if you check you an early one in that playlist.

No need to go too far mate. Halfords own is fine but you do need several coats as it lies quite thin and will run if you try and do fewer thick ones.
I tried cheap stuff from lidl on candy coat and it cracked badly.
