Just wanted to say to get to the F/C and on/off sound options: starting with the thermometer off, you hold the trigger down, and don't let go until you get to your setting. First setting is the log, next F/C, next sound on or off. Just keep holding it down until it gets to the symbol.
Hi I bought mine during 2020 from Costco. I only used it like 3-5 times during that time. I only just took it out of the closet to test it and it no longer turns on. I’ve changed the batteries out for brand new batteries and it still doesn’t turn on. There is no battery corrosion or anything and I’ve never dropped it as it’s been in the bag in the closet for all those years. I’ve tried to contact the customer service and their website no longer works neither does the phone number in the manual. Any ideas on how I could fix it?

I think an oral is always going to be the better and more accurate choice. As for what you are doing wrong... I couldn't say if you are or not unless maybe the second time was looking at the memory of the last result perhaps? I think I have it under the cabinet unless this is the one I gave my parents but either way I am so lucky (even with EXTENSIVE medical problems) that I don't get colds so I haven't really needed to use it that I recall since around the time this video was created. Double-check the documentation and see if maybe you pulled up the previous reading.

Page 15 of the user manual at the bottom shows' info on this error. It suggests the room temperature is a factor. It gives 3 solutions, clean the probe, use in a room between 50-104F after being in the room for about 30 minutes (I guess to allow temps to regulate), and last to contact the dealer or manufacturer. I don't have use for it often (luckily) but it hasn't given me issues, hope you get it sorted!

It may not be reading the temp due to the distance, or improper use maybe (no insult, just a possibility) but I have no way of knowing of course. If it does not detect properly or the temp is too low that is the message you would get as best I can recall. Going back to it being defective, there is a single review on Amazon that states it worked for a week then only would read "Lo" with every scan and they feel it is due to a fault/poor quality.

After finishing conversion, press the button for about 5 seconds to automatically save the setting and shut down the thermometer.

I think I gave this to my parents but I know the manual was good and easy to follow and I explained quickly how you change settings. When it is off you press and hold or when press and hold, how long it is held adjusts different aspects but also as I mention a little past 3:00 there are lights on top and you press the trigger at the right time when the right light is illuminated and then settings can be adjusted. As this was nearly a year ago I don't know exactly what color to tell you but when it lights up and you press the trigger you should be able to tell. Checking the manual makes the most sense though since I cannot recall 100% after all this time has passed.
likely the worst product I have ever bought, it shows err each time when its suppose to measure with no real instructions for troubleshooting, came out of box in this state, so the certificate they provide is really crap. yes, it doesn't do the one thing it is supposed to do.

I believe forehead temps are considered one of the most accurate locations in general.

This thing is TRASH! It's been a paperweight in my house for 2 years from Costco. Steer clear of this product.
