Hello guys and welcome back to ROTAQ which means Reviews of Technology & Query, I am Pratool Dubey and today I am going to discuss my experience with TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Highlights
TVS has launched the 2022 Apache RTR 160 4V at a starting price of Rs 1,15,265 for the drum variant. The front disc and rear disc variants are priced at Rs 1,17,350 and Rs 1,20,050 respectively. The company has also introduced a Special Edition model which will set you back by Rs 1,21,372 (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). Updates include multiple ride modes, adjustable brake and clutch levers and a new seat design. Head here for details.
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Price:
Currently, the asking price of the 2021 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is set at Rs 1,11,565 (rear drum brake variant) and Rs 1,14,615 (rear disc brake variant). Both prices are ex-showroom Delhi. The Apache RTR 160 4V is available in three colours: Racing Red, Metallic Blue, and Knight Black.
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Features:
One of the main updates on the BS6 Apache RTR 160 4V was the addition of an LED headlamp. The tail lamp is LED, whereas the indicators are bulb-type. It gets a fully digital instrument cluster too. TVS has equipped the Apache 160 4V with Glide Through Technology, which is essentially a low-speed assist. It helps in crawling at low speeds, using just the clutch lever modulation. Thanks to the new Feather Touch Start, the engine cranks up quickly with a touch of the starter button. As far as safety is concerned, the bike gets a single-channel ABS. The Apache 160 4V also comes with an easy-to-reach single-piece handlebar and a single-piece seat for optimum comfort.
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Engine:
Powering the 2021 Apache RTR 160 4V is the same 159.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled fuel-injected engine with an oil cooler. For 2021, the engine tuning has been revised to put out 17.63PS at 9250rpm and 14.73Nm at 7250rpm, 1.61PS and 0.61Nm more than the 2020 model. The motor is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Suspension & Brakes:
One of the main reasons why the Apache 160 4V is a sweet handler is its foundations. It employs a split-cradle frame with a telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock tuned by Showa. Brakes include a 270mm petal disc up front and either a 200mm petal disc or a 130mm drum at the rear. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with a 90-section front tyre. At the rear, the drum variant rolls on a 110-section tyre, while the disc version gets 130-section rubber. What will excite budding enthusiasts is that TVS has brought the kerb weight down by 2kg in the 2021 iteration of both the variants. The drum brake-equipped model weighs 145kg, whereas the version with the rear disc tips the scales at 147kg.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V competes against the Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZ-S V3, Pulsar 160NS, and the Hero Xtreme 160R. Other alternatives in its price bracket include the Pulsar 180, Bajaj Avenger Street 160, and the Apache RTR 180.

Iam using Apache RTR 160 4v 2020 bs6 abs twin disc model daily 86km up and down, never have a single complaint mileage is 50 plus kmpl average, and fyi I have also ns200 and rs 200 my earlier best greatest bikes all time ever after marriage I have sold exchanged whatever with Apache but I am fully satisfied, please don't compare it with hero bicycles 🙏

bhai yamaha se mat compare kar apache mere pass bhi hai par r15 or mt 15 se apache ka koi comparision ni hai
I'm using the same model since 2019..and till date I haven't faced any issues which u have shared in the video..Instead of sharing your personal opinions try to bring out some major and generic issues

Good review. I have front suspension noise. Whenever I apply brake or if there is bad road then this sound comes. What is the solution for this?
